No it doesn't end the argument nor does it do anything to advance it.

TCU was overmatched? Really? It was tie game. BSU took the lead off a crap shoot fake punt. Well executed but hardly the stuff of a dominant team. TCU missed the tie when an open receiver dropped a ball in the end zone. I believe there was less then 10 yds of Total Offense difference between the two teams. TCU threw 3 picks.

I said overmatched when the pressure was on. Late in the game when it looked like they could make a big play on Offense or a big stop on D they didnt do so. Not saying they were a bad team I just think that when it came time for the big play they needed BSU shut them down or had something up their sleeve....great game though that game will be better than the NC game I just feel that TCU couldnt handle the pressure and BSU could....which is both unfortunate and sad (well sad in my case I like texas and texas I dont think can handle bama once again I may be wrong)

Jason not to be patting each other on the back but its good to see someone who understands whats really going on here. These conference tie ins want a win, because they represent that conference. Notre Dame/LSU studs (3 yrs ago), Ga/WVU(blew up in their face), Ga Tech/Iowa (thought they had a win), Fla/Cinn (crippled team-no coachinf staff, Ga/Hawaii (joke game), Ala/Utah (surprise!!!) I'm telling you guys they know what they are doing. It is usually a set up and sometimes like I said it blows up in their face. They should make a rule that if available and qualifeid each bowl must have an undefeated team. Let the Rose Bowl turn into a sham except when they luck out with a good game-its their decision. Sugar Bowl got by on a technicality as Cinn was undefeated but a cripple team who they knew were going to get blasted. That game was over when Kelly took the Notre Dame job. It used to be you wanted the best opponent because final ranking may get you an AP NC, now its lets put on a good show but protect our conference profile. Oh yes, they have all but destroyed the Cotton Bowl- nobody wants to see SEC 3/4 vs Big 12 3/4 in a game as prestigious as the Cotton Bowl. Their was a time when every year teams had a chance to rise up by their bowl game for a national championship. Notre Dame won one that way-now these games are just-in a word anti-climatic.

Frankly if you aren't including all the conferences then you don't have a true nation champion. And since the BCS is a third party entity made to ensure that fat old men line their pockets with the money of hard working fans under the guise of a "National Champion", it will always be a sham.

You simply cannot make your way up from the teens and into the #1 or #2 spot while there are pre-season rankings.
