My wife and I watched that game last night and thought he was great, a HUGE improvement from last year and they even showed his parents and mentioned how proud they must be...

very sad day I found out RIGHT BEFORE the students walked in this morning and the whole day was kind of fogged...

My thoughts are with him and his family. A very sad day for those who do not even follow baseball. A 22 year old kid finally realizing his dream...To have a clueless driver running a red light and ending it is very sad.

i saw that this afternoon and my heart sank. he was only 22.

the driver who hit his car is on the hook for two other lives and another in critical condition. i hope they throw the book at him since he's in custody now. hit and run.

i bet those 6 scoreless innings that night was one of the best moments in his life. if you're going to go out, do it on a high note.

it really sucks, being a life long Angel fan I felt Cory Liddle and Daryle Kyle as much as the next baseball fan but this was different... the name Nick Adenhart has been known to me for years now and I finally got to know the player last year when he came up in May... I have been waiting to see the real deal for a while and just hours after the kid finally arrives as the legit top flight prospect he has always been this happens...

A ton of emotions today and I didn't even know him personally... very very sad... fox sports is replaying the first six innings of the game last night... don't know what to say aside from that... makes our previous pithcing woes with injuries and such seem pretty little

I've got a nice group of Irish players as friends, and I talked to Jimmah for about 45 minutes one day. He found me by accident and we just started chatting. LOL

My heart goes out to his family, friends and his teammates. It's especially tough because of the game he had pitched. I can't imagine going through that rollercoaster of emotion.

As a fan, you don't know the guy, but it's still such a terrible feeling. It hits home a little more when it happens to someone on your team. When Sean Taylor died, I was sad for a while. Heart goes out to Angels fans, too. It's tough.

I was there the night he pitched and at the first game on Friday against the Sox (Angels season ticket holder). It was horribly sad. They did a tribute before the game on Friday night with a moment of silence, and what I thought was great is that they posted the pictures of the other two victims of the crash. And as for gestures for the rest of the season: his number is etched in the dirt on the mound, there is a poster of him on the center field wall, his jersey will hang in the dugout the entire year, and his locker is being left the way it was when he exited the stadium that night.

Even worse, so excited about starting, he had his dad fly out for the game on Wednesday night from Maryland. And then on Friday night, the Angels flew his mom out too so that they could both be there for their son's tribute.

As for the bastard who killed Nick and the two others, he was charged with murder today. He was driving while intoxicated, fled the scene, and was already on probation and driving with a suspended license for a previous DUI.

This season is for Nick! #34, forever our sixth man in the rotation!

good to hear man glad everything is going good. Gonna try to start gettin back on here, just got too lazy with college haha. Hide some money from the wife and make a trip up here to South bend man....
