And yet the worst play was fumbling. Media do love them some crazy though.
The penalty on Jones was stupid. Why was the Steelers assistant on the field talking shit. How come that wasn't a penalty?
Because usually a team receives a sideline warning first, if one of the coaches is on the field.
Not really. Sideline warnings are usually for when coaches come on the field, not when they are interacting with the other team in the middle of the field and from some reports cussing at them.
Also while the Bengals were out of line, look at Porter and Munchak from the Steelers (and Shazier as well) to see just how bad the Steelers behaved. People are saying that Lewis couldn't control his players (rightly) but what about Tomlin not controlling Shazier and his assistant coaches?

Don't overblow what Munchak did. I think Munchak thought that the guy put his shoulder into him on purpose, so he gave him a little shove. That's a non-issue. Trying to bring it into the conversation is pointless. Shazier's hit should have been a penalty, but I don't think it was an intentional hit. It looked to me like he expected the receiver to turn back to the inside, and he was going to put a shoulder into him. But when the receiver turned outside instead, he ended up putting his helmet right into the guy's chin. It should have been a penalty, but it wasn't about a lack of self control. Burfict targeted Antonio Brown's head. There's very little doubt about that. He may not have hit him with a helmet, but Burfict INTENTIONALLY targeted someone, so please don't try to compare the two. Joey Porter maybe should have been flagged for being on the field, but again........ let's have an honest comparison; Porter came out on the field and is reported to have been yelling at Bengal players. Adam Jones, on the other hand, tried to go through an official, in an effort to get to Porter. One shows bad judgement, the other shows a complete loss of control.

First off Munchak also pulled Nelson's hair. Not just a shove. 2nd, it wasn't just the hit that Shazier did, it was the celebrating it even after Berndard was on the ground and being treated by trainers. That is a POS move.
It should have been offsetting penalties between Jones and Porter. Also both show a lack of control.
You are making excuses because you are a Steelers fan. That is ok, just own it.
Munchak did not reach out and grab Nelson by the hair. He grabbed his arm and Nelson's hair got caught up in that grasp. I'm not making excuses. I've said that one of the incidents should absolutely have been flagged, another probably should have, and that the third was wrong. Understandable, but wrong. However, none of those situations showed a man who appeared to be out of his mind and not able to control himself. I haven't seen any video of Shazier celebrating the Bernard hit, so I'm not even sure it happened, let alone that it was as classless as people have asserted.
If ANYONE is trying to make excuses, it is people who are saying "Well, the Cincinnati players may have been wrong, but look at Pittsburgh!!"

WTF? Did you not watch the game, did you just block it out? They showed him multiple times on the broadcast while Bernard was on the ground?
Steeler homerism at its finest.

Nelson is moving past Munchak... Munchak maintains his hold on Nelson's hair and yanks. Pretty clear, I think.
*shrugs* get a haircut, hippie.
Seriously, though. It does look worse than I remember it. However, if this were the only incident in the game, it would be a complete non-issue. So, judging it on it's own merits, it means nothing. Munchak certainly doesn't look like an out of control man possessed by demons.

I think he probably got angry that when Nelson ran into him he pushed him. Munchak was definitely in the wrong but don't shove a coach like that when you ran into him.
Okay? The point is that you are willing to disregard his clearly unacceptable actions because Go Stillers!
You serious Clark? Nelson pushed him AFTER Munchak pulled his hair. I literally just posted the video lol.
Nelson DID run into him. But he didn't push him until he got his hair pulled. Munchak was jacked up on the sidelines, I get it. But pulling hair? C'mon man, this isn't a 6th grade girl fight.
No. The point is that the behavior so far pointed out by the Steelers doesn't even BEGIN to rise to the level of "out of control" as the behaviors that people are rightly pillorying Marvin Lewis for. Burfict should not even have been on the field, if it is true what the announcers said about Lewis having spent the entire Cincy offensive series talking to Burfict on the sidelines and trying to calm him down.
Mike Munchak shoved a guy who slammed into him on the sidelines, after he put his hands out to try to slow the guy down. You see this kind of play in every game. A guy comes off the field at or near full speed, and people on the sideline try to put their arms and help the guy slow down without plowing over anyone. Adam Jones ran I don't know how many yards and tried to run over an official, to get to an assistant coach who was yelling at his teammates. Yelling, not punching, shoving, spitting at. So it is reasonable to try to climb over an official to get closer to the guy?

No, none of those things by Cincy's players are acceptable. They were out of control. But if you don't think Munchak and Porter were out of control, then I guess you just can't look past being a fan to admit your own team's issues. Because they were ALSO out of control, just like Burfict and Jones. Just because they didn't have pads on and because the stuff happened on their own side of the field doesn't mean it's less egregious.
Munchak was absolutely NOT out of control. Just because he did something wrong, doesn't make him "out of control". He shoved the guy, and that was it. He didn't keep going after the guy or go after someone else. And he didn't try to go through an official to get to the guy. What part of that is so hard to understand?
You don't think intentionally pulling a dude's hair is out of control?
Or Joey Porter being on the field instigating and yapping is out of control?
Perhaps we have different definitions. Because pulling a guy's hair because he bumped into you shows a lack of control. As does an assistant coach moving onto the field to confront a player. And it also shows a lack of control that this all happens under Tomlin's watch. Just like it shows a lack of control that Jones and Burfict go off the rails under Marvin's watch.
What is so hard for YOU to understand?
You know whats not hard for me to understand? That I will be watching my team play another playoff game this year, while Cincinnati fans cry yet again.
