Really not sure why Dez Bryant isn't in a Patriots uniform yet, their receivers suck!

Colt's lost today, but they fought hard, and showed they are able to compete even on the road...

even with the loss, this was a good day given Jacksonville lost, and NE is about to go down.. Still not looking forward to going to NE in two weeks. Not as scary though.

With the product they put on the field today I'm not scared at all!

They host the 3-0 Fins next weekend. And then have the Colt at home, before a big matchup with the 3-0 Chiefs at home.. Their schedule is pretty good (for NE) after that given the teams struggling right now.

I’m not nearly as much of a Pats homer as ND (still biased though), and I’d be shocked if they finished worse than 11-5. I’m predicting 12-4. As you mentioned, the schedule is good for them going forward. Very confident they handle Miami next week and Indy on Thursday will probably be tough but should be a win. Then 10 days before Chiefs. Once they start losing to AFC teams at home I’ll think the end is near.

Agree.... I think they will improve with time (they always do). They'll have Gordon up to speed in a week or so too. I'd be more worried about the defense. Haven't watched them enough, of followed them close enough this year to know what their issues are on that side of the ball.

They were down 3 starters tonight who all should be back next week. 2 of which (Chung and Flowers) are difference makers. They’re pretty mediocre on that side of the ball though, the super bowl performance was definitely not a fluke.

I don’t think you can take anything away from that game. The Pats were so shorthanded on both sides of the ball that they were pigeon-holed into certain schemes both offensively and defensively.

It was a little concerning that they didn’t get anything from Hogan or Dorsette with Gronk seeing double coverage the entire game, but that goes back to not having depth for the night I think.

Combine Patricia’s familiarity with NE with NE essentially having to play a certain way on both sides, and it was easy for Detroit to overwhelm them.

Cincy had two games like that last year... down three starters at linebacker, they were playing exclusively dime defense for a two-game stretch because they had no other choice. There’s nothing you can do when an NFL offense/defense knows exactly what packages you’re stuck in.
