Lucks neck beard looks worse than when women didn't shave down there.

Yea, nasty toe hair bothers me too.

Thigh injury confirmed by Schefter. Changes my mind a bit that he should 100% retire.

Either way, if he can't come back at a top level, he should go. No one wants to see a full season of Peyton playing at a Dalton-level.

Elway built that whole offense around Peyton, and it cost them big time. He's owed something like ~19 million next season, and they have so many free agents to worry about. I think he would be doing the franchise a diservice if he came back at that price unless he can prove this spring that he can return to his 2013 level.

That team is going to be a salary cap nightmare very soon. They've thrown all their chips in to win now, they're going to be a dumpster fire in the near future. Book it.

Agreed. A lot of Pats fans (including myself at times) wanted the Pats to do something similar this off-season and go for the win-now strategy as Brady's window is obviously closing (although he is aging amazingly). Should have known better than to doubt Bill Belichick.

I don't understand how people can be so dismissive of a player who may be battling an injury. He may decide to hang it up but it appears you want to push him out the door. I thought he was definitely going to win at least one ring in Denver. If he's still hungry and he can recover from these injuries, then I'd love to see him come back.

As a huge Manning fan, I don't want to see him go out looking bad, but the injuries have to be related somewhat to his age

I hate you for posting that.

That's why Irsay made the decision to release Manning. He was due something like $21 or $22mil. The Colts would have lost pretty much everyone worth a nickel that's on the team because they wouldn't have been able to pay him.
