I have enabled the reputation feature within vBulletin. If you like/dislike a post, there will be a "Scale" on the bottom left hand corner. Click on that and you can give repuation to users.

Please take a chance to test it out and let me know if you have any issues!

Hmmm...I wonder how my Pro-Ty/Pro-ESPN posts will affect my rep? Be gentle.

How Do I Get 'my Irish Info' To Show Up In My Posts?
Click "User CP" up top, and then hit the "Edit Profile" button on the sidebar.

Dude, I'm with you. I will be cheering for the Big Dub Huskies, with the obvious exception coming against ND. I'd love to see both teams beat SC in '05. Then again, I hope everyone beats SC and Michigan.

Hey, to any and all....good sources for tickets? I've got a couple of guys, but I'm on the fifth or sixth degree on the Kevin Bacon scale. I want to get to at least two games, maybe three or four.

LOL... just return the favor if it is unjust. However, since you're on of the top posters (total posts) you have a higher impact as your rep giving power grows with posts, time registered, etc.

Also forgot to mention. On the main homepage at the bottom right, there is a Top 10 Reputation listing for those interested.

Oh come on now NDLyght I would like to think I contribute to other conversations other than shooting holes in your Pro-Willingham and Pro-ESPN posts. I think we just have two totally opposite mind sets. :naughty:

I dont care what peoples personal views are. But once they start saying "Ty deserved another year" or pulling the race card and saying "weis is the white man for the job", now that stuff is just rediculous and uncalled for. And I feel a duty to call a spade a spade, not caring what my reputation becomes.

The only people that are going to mark my reputation are Pro-Willingham and Pro-Race conflict people, and that is fine with me.

I mean seriously!!!! Who thinks Weis should be fired? and willingham given another year? Nobody!!!! Especially with it seeming like night and day with Weis, and he hasnt even coached a game yet!

Both Willingham and ND are better off!!!! So it should be left at that.
And anybody who cries about race just needs to look at the numbers for Willinghams coaching at ND! At it should be left at that.

 You know we're getting to be like Abbot & Costello, carrying on the same argument everywhere we go.
But yeah, we just have opposing ideas on the Willingham firing that will probably never be on the same page.
And who knows...if we keep on arguing & it becomes entertaining for the rest of the board, we could become the Kornheiser & Wilbon of IrishEnvy (but you already know which one I'll be). More respect & popularity (plus a mid-day ESPN talk show) for both of us, I guess. ;)

But honestly do you think its a good idea having a reputation scale? I mean we are all ND fans (although sometimes I wonder) now it may make some people alittle more humble about voicing their opinions.
When I first joined the site I read somewhere that you could cuss, bitch, gripe, complain, some people might hold back their emotions in fear of negative reputation marks from other ND fans. (although I promise I will not be one of them)
What does the whole reputation thing due anyways? Does the person with the most negative marks get voted off the site at the end of the month? And then its going to turn into a race to turn in the negative marks. And a "he marked me so Im marking him" and teams are going to develop like Anti-Willingham teams and Pro-race issue teams.
Just my thoghts. :censored:

I doubt it...I've already put about 1,966 negative marks against you. J/K.
I don't see it as anything personal (since there's only a respect list & not a s#!t list as well). But I already know if it's a popular opinion thang, I'm just like our last 5 recruiting classes...already out of the top 10 (see, I can joke on TyWillie, too).

I think the Reputation thing should be better explained and controled by the admin........

That's the beauty of the whole thing... it means nothing more then what you want it to mean. It's like anything in life, treat people how you want to be treated.

When I come across a post I really enjoy, I'll rep the person. Some with a negative post. It's strictly personal preference and it can also be used down the road if anyone decides to buy, sell or trade tickets, merchandise, etc. with each other.

The problem with 'reputation' is that it would seem to directly award the quantity of posts, even over their quality, as also the ranking system appears to do. It will be problematic if the only posters worth reading on this site are also the ones that only post once a week.

I hate the idea of anybody's authority being linked to profusion. Seniority is a better index, and if anybody is a complete flake it will be exposed in time.
