It is ****ing late and I want to go the **** to bed and my blood pressure is extremely high. My computer screen is currenlty being repaired for free by Best Buy so I am on my roommates computer.

I downloaded a zip file of songs to his computer and want to transfer the songs to my iPhone. So I added the files to my roommates library on iTunes.

Well When I try to just select those 16 songs to transfer, it asks if I want to erase all of my songs for the selected 16. Who the **** in their right mind would want to do that? Well I have had this probelem at least 3 other times but never saught a solution, opting to wait until I got back to my computer to complete the transfer. Problem this time is I have to wait 2 weeks to get my comp back and have a long ride back home tomorrow.

Need help on how to manually transfer indivdual song files to my phone without syncing and erasing my whole damn library.

Now, if someone else responds, I suggest you do what they say over what I say, but here's what I think you could do.

Edit your computer's folder options so you can see invisible folders then manually transfer the mp3s to the Ipod or Iwhatever's music library.

Edit: please read "invisible" as hidden.

My iPhone does not show up as a selection in the USB Port. I think this action has to be performed via iTunes.

That's...odd.

I don't particularly know much about iPhones though. I've never owned one.

How doesn't it show up on the USB? (Talking to myself here.) That's weird. (And so is me talking to myself.)

Is the iPhone itself a hidden file?

Pretty sure there should be an option in iTunes to have your iPhone show up as a file folder. From there you can figure out where your music files are being stored and add them.

Not entirely sure, but good luck!

Never have seen it done that way.

Btw mine has been saying this the last couple months. I just say yes to it. It has never deleted anything.

I gave up. Watched a ton of youtube videos on it. I dont think it is possible to drag individual songs from someone else's iTunes account onto your iPhone. I have done it in the past with my iPod, but I think with updated versions that they changed the feature.

You are 100% positive that it wont delete the library on my phone if I click "Continue and Sync" (by doing so, it says I will sync my iPhone with my roommates iTunes and erase the library on my iPhone)
