ND tattoos

Alright well one of my buddies just got his 1st tattoo and it got me thinking, do you guys think a tattoo of the dome and the saying, "God, Country, Notre Dame" incorporated within it would be cool? I was thinking about getting it on my shoulder blade.

I would also like to integrate something w/ my grandfather in it too. He played at ND and graduated in '59 but I don't know if it is weird to have a tattoo of someone who is still alive. Thoughts? Suggestions?

My tattoo was simple and so I didn't have to think about/plan it much. Yours sounds a bit more complex and you could have it look a few different ways. I'd get a lot of sketch ups done.... Change the size, the font, the shape, color, etc. Until you find the design you really like (even post the design on here if you want feedback).

Sounds cool to me, but get what YOU want, who cares what anybody else thinks. It will be permanent obviously, so get something you're happy with.

I honestly don't even know where to start haha. My grandfather's father owned a pub in downtown Milwaukee and it is a tattoo shop now and I thought that would be cool to get it done there but I'm not gonna go 2 hours if the place is bad haha.

Talk to your friends about it. Ask them who they get there ink done by and who's fair price. Your friends are going to give you the best advice just don't go in blind.

On mine, I considered having the lep's hands lowered, and him 'smoking' a pipe and the 'burning' side of the pipe would be 'USC', with smoke rising, but I decided against it.
