OK...I am not saying players should get special treatment but I live in Columbus and my nephew has been with OSU football players on 3 different instances where columbus police and campus police turned the other way when it comes to players. Do local police just hate ND or is it just me? My guess is Weis and Brey will not be donating any time or money to the local police association lol. Weird that it just happens to be an african american QB that was arrested...my guess is Clausen or Quinn would of been let go!!!!!

Are you seriously suggesting that because Jones is African-American he was arrested? I would hope that his race would be a moot point in this discuassion, but it seems that someone always needs to bring it up. I have a strong feeling that everyone on this board and any true fan of ND hold our students to a higher standard regardless of race or gender. If Brady Quinn, who I am a huge fan of, was arrested for possession, though I would be incredibly disappointed and upset, I would want him to be accountable for his actions as well. Once you begin to talk of giving donations to officals in hopes of recieving preferential treamtment you are no better than those programs we criticize for lack of morality and character. Notre Dame will win with quality kids who are honorable and moral.

As an African American I am about high tired of folks using this VICTIM CRAP when they get caught doing something ILLEGAL!!! I can go off on a bunch of other stuff that goes right down that alley but for peace sakes I won't go any further.

Back to the ISSUE AT HAND.

Thank God he is innocent. Hopefully he will learn and go forward from here.
