As of right now Nix isn't a first round pick. He has that potential but if the seasoned ended this week no chance.

Let's talk about Motta after the OU game.

I think Wood, Watt, Martin will all be back. We have a chance to make a run at a national championship next year and Kelly will make that very clear to the guys considering leaving. IMO, that's a chance you don't pass up.

I know you can't make this kind of comparaison, but if I am a NFL GM or coach I am looking at Manti and saying to myself we could have a Ray Lewis of our own for the future. Drafting is not an exact science, but this comparaison is pretty easy to make. At least to my eyes.

Yeah, possibly. I feel safe in predicting also that Manti won't ever murder anybody though.

Where do you think our guys will get drafted in 2013 NFL draft?

Manti Te'o- Round 1 in the first 10 picks
Tyler Eifert- Late round 1 early round 2
Kapron Lewis-Moore- 4th or 5th round
Zeke Motta- 5th round
Braxton Cave- 6th or 7th round(centers rarely get taken early)
Theo Riddick- 6th round

I have a feeling Cierre Wood is going to come back even though at the beginning of the year this looked like an impossibility. Its extremely unlikely he will break 1000 yards this year and his draft stock has to be hurt because of his suspension. I also think Watt and Martin will return for their 5th years. With Martin, however, I believe there is a chance he will leave.

First, I think if KLM keeps playing well, he could very easily go in the 3rd round, possibly even 2nd if he plays well AND kills it at the combine. As far as Motta goes, he still has a lot to prove, both on and off the field. If he continues to play well AND has a great combine/pro day, I could see him going 3-5. The way it is looking, the combine/pro day may be more important to him than any other ND player. I think it's too tough to give a prediction on him right now-- anywhere from 4th or 5th to undrafted FA to not even getting a sniff. We shall see.

Regarding KLM, did anyone else hear Mayock say that he thinks KLM is absolutely an NFL caliber player but has talked to several people in the league who don't think so? It was in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of the BYU game after Moore made a big play.

Anyway, Mayock is pretty respected and spot on in his analysis. He was the one talking up Harrison SMith as a possible first rounder last year. If he says KLM is an NFL player, I believe he'll be drafted but not til rounds 4-7 (depending on how he works out at the combine). The thing is, teams who draft DE's in the first three rounds are usually drafting based on potential or proven pass rushing skills. Moore isn't the most impressive pass rushing threat, but he's an absolutely solid assignment football player who is capable of beating his man in obvious pass rushing downs. He seems like the type of guy who will have a fairly long career in a rotation lineman role. He's a great leader and guy you'd want in your locker room too.
