If we had won those BCS games then I might agree with you. We didn't. We got stomped. ND hasn't been ND in 20 years. Like it or not, ESPN is right about this.

Like i said, i dont care about other fans expectations or thoughts, you want to think that way be my guest.

did you ever hear espn talk about texas and how they were irrelevant for the 30+ years between their championships? 1970-2005 without a championship? did they give alabama a heap of irrelevant talk when they were trying to win their first championship since 92? Nope.

why not?

Because espn does not like ND. ND has their own broadcasting deal with NBC, espn makes no money when ND plays football. but they make money hand over fist from the big 12 and sec.

Say what you want, but espn has a huge bias against ND.

Actually ESPN/ABC makes a lot of money when Notre Dame plays football, at least on the road. And that's half our games.
We'll probably have three Saturday night national ABC broadcasts this year, and if we're any good, they'll be among the highest-rated broadcasts all season. Just like the Michigan game was last year. A lot of SEC games are televised by CBS, but you hear about them incessantly. And we're one of a handful of programs with its own dedicated beat writer at ESPN.com. Even if he's not going to win a Pulitzer any time soon, that means we're more relevant to them than most.

I really don't get this "ESPN's biased against us" stuff. It sounds like whining. If they're biased, it's simply because we haven't been all that good for quite some time. Win some games, and you'll hear plenty about us.
