Fasano, Stovall and Stevenson should be the only three.

After that, I don't see anyone else getting drafted. Free agent signings will remain, which is actually a blessing. Agents of players like Hoyte, Mays and LeVoir can pick and choose what teams to go after based on their needs.

Really, you don't think Hoyte and Levoir will get drafted somewhere at the end of the 2nd day? I guess its just my homer-ism coming out, but I kinda thought somebody would use a 7th round pick on both those guys, especially Hoyte.

No. They are both pretty far off the boards. Hoyte perhaps, LeVoir and Mays no.

I wonder if Powers Neal gets drafted. He was rated as one of the best FB's in college before the season started.

well, yeah, I never thought Mays would get drafted. A one-year starter on a less than superb defense doesn't carry a ton of weight in the draft. but Hoyte's had a pretty productive career, and everyone always needs tackles which is why I figured somebody'd take a chance on LeVoir. We'll see I guess. Maybe Big Blue will take a chance on the hometown kid (Hoyte) in the 7th round. That'd be pretty cool to me. They could use a few new OLB'ers anyway since the starters get injured every friggin year it seems.

I can't imagine he gets drafted now, but I think he'll have more than a few teams calling him to invite him to training camp as an undrafted free agent. could definately see him catching on somewhere, if he works hard enough. Especially w/ a recommendation from Weis.

The more I've been mulling this over, I'm not so sure Fasano did the right thing by coming out.

I've been reading up on the NFL Draft and Fasano's reviews have been fair at best. I think the main issue is that so many underclassmen at his position are coming out and his value has slipped a bit. The kid from Maryland is supposed to be the best guy out there at tight end as it stands now. Fasano's stats all went up, but your college stats get more and more irrelevant as the draft gets closer.

What really alarmed me more than anything was that in 4 or 5 different reports on Fasano, one common item was mentioned: fumbling. His blocking skills and athleticism were positives, but the fumbling issues could cause him to slip some.

I still see Davis, Lewis and Pope going ahead of him for sure, maybe 2-3 others after them. Either way, he's going on day one. Clearly, there are quite a few people out there that feel he should have stuck around another year in Weis' offense at ND.

This is one of the deepest drafts for TE's that I can remember. I have no doubt that wherever Fasano lands he'll have a very productive NFL career, and make plenty of money.

I think LeVoir and Stevenson both get drafted, both have started alot of games at ND, and ND usually does a very good job of sending their linemen to the NFL.

I'm very interested to see where Stovall goes. You'd think there would be alot more hype about him after his great year(maybe Jeff S took away from his hype). Stovall should do very well in the combines, he runs a very good 40 time(at least he did coming out of high school) plus he has that size that NFL teams covet so much. I think he goes in the second round. He'll be a steal for whoever drafts him. Stovall had 9 catches againt Ohio State

Matt shelton will probably sign as a free agent, maybe he catches on to a team, he could be that Don Beebe type player.

Totally agree about Fasano. I really think he made a big mistake going into the draft this year, w/ how deep the talent pool is. he's gonna be a late 2nd rounder at best this year, vs. next year where he may have been a 1st rounder.

Does anyone know, is it possible for him to change his mind and come back to school? I know how college basketball works w/ you can pretty much change your mind anytime until you hire an agent, but I don't know about college football.

Maybe the Bears can snag him, too. Man, to come away with two legit TEs in this draft would be king in my eyes.

I always thought it worked the same way. Your college eligibility is gone when you hire an agent. Isn't that what happened to Mike Williams at USC?

I read somewhere that Mel Kiper has Fasano going 27th overall to the Panthers. That seems really high to me though, he'll slip to the second or 3rd IMO.
