ND Gets QB Commitment

Last night on TV, I learned that Notre Dame has a new verbal commitment. Kendrick Everett, 6-4, 215 from Long Island, NY. Private school kid, personal QB trainer. His mother was impressed with ND's academics, "None better," she said. The only concerns she expressed were about the size and speed of the Trojans defensive line her son would have to face.

Nothing on Rivals or Scout so far.

I'll post updates as I see them.

He's being naughty. It was a *fictional* QB recruit on a television show last night called Royal Pains. The Kendrick kid was the patient and the doctor was supposed to make him well so he could play at ND. Lots of ND references. The kid and his sister did a "fist bump" at one point and both said "play like a champion today."

Damn! Mrs. BGIF told me it was real. Is there no honor in recruiting?

She mentioned the kid's practice field with the huge blue and gold ND Logo was much more dramatic a statement than USC's Mitch Mustain's "Play Like A Champion" towelette.


I figured Urban would be calling Kendrick this morning to remind him to consider coaching stability regardless of what mom thinks. The moms always like ND.

Kind of "LifeStyles of the Rich and Infamous" meets "House" who's not a jerk but has a selfdescribed "dooshbag" brother.


There hasn't so much ND on a TV episode since President Bartlett left the White House.
