I've heard about this for the first time this year, and joked with my wife I should go next year and wreck shop on some other wash ups like me.

It's probably been covered numerous times on here but, Has anybody been? What's it like?? Is it worth the cash?

Never been. I'd do it in a second if not for one thing: the final game is flag and not tackle! Lame.

no its flag, but hey most of the guys playing are like 50 and up, these guys try and tackle and they'll break a hip!

its supposedly pretty cool tho, i just dont have $5k to spend on it.

i think its well worth the price for what you get. meet coaches and players, current and legends. dress in the locker room, play in the stadium. if i could afford it i would go with my dad, i think it would be an awesome experience.

I'm strongly considering dropping $6500 and going to the 2024 camp.. It seems like an unforgettable experience & I'm young enough and in good enough shape to whip around & enjoy it.. Even though it's flag.

Apart from a game of flag what else happens?
So you show up and basically do everything the players do a few days leading up to a game.. You get fitted for jersey, pads, helmet etc then you have an orientation & meet old players and the coaches.

Then the next day you go to team meetings, practice and dine at the training table.. they have some other stuff mixed in like dinners and auctions and hanging with current players.

Then day of the game you go to mass, do the players walk and play the game.. then they have an awards dinner that night and that pretty much wraps it up.

Is there a part where you get all kinds of messed up drunk the night before honking on your first stretch/ light jog of the morning session?

Part of me wants to be fully invested in every second of it & the other part wants to get inebriated with ex players.. we'll see

Training has gone well lads.. Feeling thick, moisturized and in my lane.. greasy. fast speed, game ready. Just less than 3 1/2 weeks to go.. Will finish the last few weeks with stretching, agility training and low impact swimming.

From what I've heard from previous campers, Coach Freeman is very involved in the camp & it's run like a well oiled machine.

It's sold out with 60 attendees so I'm not sure how much playing time will be going around but the whole experience is apparently cool af.

Kyle Rudolph and Bryant Young are the guest coaches and there will be tons of ex players/legends there as well.

Marcus Freeman just broke down film of the last Fantasy game for us for about 20 minutes & had us laughing our asses off..

This man is special & “gets it” when it comes to ND fans. We’re only on day 2 & I’ve seen & heard from him multiple times.. he’s around us A LOT & just has an incredible vibe.

We also got to meet Denbrock, Golden & the entire staff.. just great people who are all approachable & friendly.

Hell I got to Facetime my dad with Chris Zorich.. Chatted with Marc Edwards for 15 minutes & had coffee with Reggie Brooks.

We’re still early into this & if I went home today it would be worth every penny.. just incredible.
