I know it is a snowballs chance in hell, but could one of the guru's explain what would have to happen for us to go to a bcs game? thanks!

This is the only way that I can see us getting into the top 14 and a BCS...

With Penn State losing today we should jump them.

We need Clemson to beat South Carolina bad enough that we can jump South Carolina (and then have Clemson lose to V. Tech in the conference championship game next week so that we then jump Clemson.)

If we beat #6 Standford and jump Nebraska, TCU, and Baylor we would end up 17th in the BCS going into championship week.

Then next week, we would likely jump the loser of Michigan State and Wisconsin game, Georgia if they lost to LSU, and Clemson if they lose to V. Tech. This would leave us at 14th in the final BCS standings.

This scenario could also be helped out if Boise St., Houston, Oregon, and/or Kansas St loses and drops far enough to be ranked below us.

No.

There are something like 19 teams with two losses or less ranked ahead of ND. No matter how many lose their first, second, or third game they will not drop below a 3 lose ND, particularly not for losing a championship game. Be practical.

Further, conference coaches are going to protect the revenue sharing regardless.

Right now at this point it doesn't look like it will matter because it will take a miracle to beat Stanford
