Bob Morris, your now IN state rep, was my landlord up in Fort Wayne.

Shady mother fucker. Every time he sat at the poker table, I got up. Fucking hustled us broke college kids.

A kid that might fit this level of excitement that would have some connection would be Isaiah Snavely who is ranked as the top prospect in the State of Indiana in the 27 class. Played with Brandon Logan at Fort Wayne Snider. One of his IN Bulls teammate is already committed to ND.

Just pure speculation.
I just watched an interview that Snavely gave back in the summer and he said his "advisor" is helping him through the process and they identified 10 schools to focus on. He didn't list those schools. His advisor is Sam Samardzija - older brother of Jeff.

Still would seem like a longshot for a top kid to choose ND, but who knows.

Dad played baseball at Ohio State where he was captain.

Dad might've been ND's top DB recruit ever (#1 DB, #6 overall) but turned into an okay player and 6th round pick. The discrepancy wasn't his fault. He proved to be a 4.64 40 guy at the NFL combine, and in a time before the camp circuit his athleticism was simply overrated.

Season preview here from Prister. Seems like a lot of national outlets think Notre Dame can make the postseason.

I was disappointed to see him a bit crabby in the comment section about people who criticize the lack of program support from ND. The stadium is not great at all, and it just seems ridiculous to spend 8 figures on a needed building for football but you can’t spend 1/10th of that for baseball.

The stadium really needs an upgrade. I'd be shocked if they made the post season. My over/under on wins remains at 17.

The stadium is small and out dated. They have some players though.
Maybe they can update it. It’s small, but almost never coming even remotely close to filling up. High watermark last year was 900 and change. Cold weather baseball doesn’t demand a big stadium.

You are right. It’s not terrible though. When we went to the NC State the and a scrimmage double header we went and watched. We had a blast. The first game had about 8-10 scouts there. Our first time there and it was pretty cool. We got to talk to some
Parents of the players which was pretty cool to hear there stories of how they got there. They have some guys that can play ball.

Off to a 6-3 start in non-conference play after a sweep this weekend. ACC play starts next weekend.

Irish home a 11-1 win over E Michigan. Forth straight 10 run rule win, albeit vs low major competition. Conference play begins this weekend.

We may be looking at a much improved baseball team this year. Early season weather and constant road trips usually means the worst part of the season for us and we are doing well. Having as bonafide ace like Radel to start every series is a big help, plus this team can obviously hit.

ND was ahead 5-3 going into the bottom of the 9th. 3 unearned runs as a result of 3B Zee’s error. Zee then had a tough play on the walk off that he didn’t make. 3B is a tough spot. In hindsight he probably had a better chance to make the play trying to take it on a short hop or possibly in the air if he charges that ball immediately.

ND took game 1 vs. Louisville yesterday. ND was down 6-0 in the 3rd innning and scored 10 runs in the 4th with grand slams from Noah Coy and Davis Johnson. Jayce Lee also scored from second on a wild pitch.

I was able to catch most of the game yesterday. Even though they lost I think this team has a lot young talent.

Their infield consisted of 2 Freshman & 2 Sophomore's.

When I turned the game on Louisville just had a kid reach first base, the commentators were saying how this kid was going to run, he was successfull on his last 53 out of 54 stolen bases. The kid tried to steal second and was thrown out.

Louisville had a big 8th inning, but I felt like this team played smart small ball.

For you Ft Wayne natives. Tech just swept #6 on a three game set, and split vs #2 and #4.

Probably the best spring break trip since I hung my 4 CWS banners.

My grandboy, who stays in Ft Wayne, hasn’t seen those banners yet. Give me a few weeks.
