Between injuries and suspension MIN has 15 players out for the game. Most are backups.
The offense lost TE/HB Starter Lingen at the end of October but the Gophers throw to their TEs only a little more than ND/Kizer did. Four Gopher TEs had 20 receptions for the season. ND had 15 receptions for 2 TEs.
Two freshman QBs Green and Williams are suspended but apparently haven't played. I can't find them in the team QB stats, passing or rushing.
There are 2 RBs on the list but while they carried for 5 or 6+ yds/carry they are the #4 and #6 RBs on the Depth Chart.
They lost Starting MLB Poock in November for the season.
Starting LG Weyler was lost for the season in mid November.
Starting C Moore isn't playing but he's not on the injured/Suspended list. The QB's brother, JR C Matt Leidner will be snapping to big bro Mitch. In the mid 280s Matt is a least 20 pounds lighter than Moore.
Five of the suspensions are to DBs, no starters but it wipes out most of the secondary depth chart. Backup S#2 Rogers was lost for the season in late September.
Two of those DBs also see duty on Special Teams as Kick and Punt Returners and there's probably a couple that see coverage duty.
Put all that with the campus political turmoil, a 10.5 point underdog ... and Minnesota is set for Arkansas/Oklahoma night. Good think Lou is coaching Minnesota. I took The Pirate.
