Wow, Cinci looks bad. Looks like a fairly poor coached team. I really like the look of SDSU's 3-3-5

4th down efficiency 1-1 0-0
Total Yards 165 128
Passing 44 117
Comp-Att 5-8 10-20
Yards per pass 5.5 5.8
Interceptions thrown 0 2

Penalties 2-11 5-55
Turnovers 0 2

Possession 19:51 10:09

Neither team is tearing up the offensive stats. SDS opened with a K.O. return TD, the UC QB threw a pair of telegraphed passes, and have to play catch up. Averaging 5.8 yd/pass isn't going to get them there.

If SDS puts up an early 3Q TD they'll move to burn the clock and the Over won't be close.

During the season the UC QB Chapman's game completion % ranged from 30% to 66%. No consistency.

They were a competitive team during the season. One score losses to Temple, Memphis, and Houston. Big win over Miami. They got trampled by USF

Without Kiel UC has a NO Dimensional Offense. He had 2800 yds and a 19/11 TD ratio. Champman's a huge drop off. They need Kiel passing to set up the run.

Aside from the opening K.O. SDS hasn't been dominant on offense. The two INTs gave them field position.

Tuberville's got a huge issue with keeping his team motivated for bowl games. Three years in a row now that he's brought a competitive team with a potent offense into a bowl game in which they proceeded to look like garbage.

I was a believer after years one and two. The offense is good during the regular season and the team has the talent to compete for an AAC title. And yet the defense has regressed each year, and the offense couldn't keep a rhythm all year long (Kiel's issues and Moore's inexperience don't help). The team in general has regressed a bit.

Looking at the way the talent on UC's roster is being mismanaged at times, combined with the lack of performance in bowl games... I'm starting to think that Tuberville is just happy to be coaching close to home before he retires. I don't think I'm in that "believers" category anymore.

And as a relatively new season ticket holder, I feel like I'm in a position that this is now an issue lol.

Just dominated, I'd say a pretty poor performance. They had absolutely nothing going for them.
