While that last part might be true, I think its a chicken/egg or cart/horse conversation. Butch is bringing these kids in. He's throwing Orange Carpet parties for recruits and getting attractive girls to sign up as hostesses for players on OV's. What type of behavior do you think you are going to attract, if that's what the pitch is. You are going to get players that care about themselves and whats in their best interest. Same goes for Ole Miss.

This has always been the strangest thing about CFB to me. These kids get treated like rock stars through signing day. One of the reasons I've stopped following recruiting very actively- doesn't feel right to tie my happiness into a 17 year old's life decision even though I know how important it can be to a program.

It really makes you wonder how teams like ND can make it in the top programs. I mean, todays athletes are so what-have-you-done-for-me-lately. It takes a pretty special kid who has been the stud athlete of his area is whole life, treated with kid gloves, to want to go to a place like ND where 1) the women look like men 2) you actually have to work your butt off academically and 3) your team isnt the cream of the top program anymore.

LOL..........Watching the game Saturday, they showed a couple of close ups of the cheerleaders. First words out of my wife's mouth; "Those are the ND Cheerleaders? Couldn't they find anyone better looking?" I just laughed.

Barnett's comments are interesting to me. Suggest this is a Hurd problem, not a coach problem. Wonder who he is suggesting the other cancer is.
