You started a thread praising a black player for being articulate. That's true, no? Now, what is the implication? Perhaps you were naive as to that being a common racist remark, in which case, that's fine. But nonetheless it IS a common racist remark, and though it's not intended to be a mean one it's all the worse for the person not even realizing he's racist. It smacks of unconscious racism.
And no, I'm not a liberal, nor PC, nor someone who sees racism everywhere. I've personally boycotted all the shows featuring all the black media people who erroneously called the Willingham firing racist. But praising a black person for being articulate, as I've said, is a common act of people who are unconsciously racist, to whatever degree.
