Great get! He has the potential to get major playing time next year. I'm so glad we finally brought in a linebacker

You have to like the character in this man. I like the way he handled the recruitment and the announcement. He made two trips to ND (from GA. no less) and notified the other coaches personally before announcing.

With the looks of the DL this class, we can sure use him.

He's definitely a linebacker. Defensive end looks okay. DT is the major concern.

Richardson might play in Hoyte's spot down the road.

Very nice get. I think I preferred him over the others, too!

I did too. He comes from stiff competition in GA and he sounds like quite a player. The prototypical speed DE/OLB hybrid. Vtech wanted him. I love the way they play defense. Their units are built on speed and aggression.

Well, all I've seen is highlights and read stories, but he's an absolute ballhawk and likes to put hits on people. I'm trying to hunt for some free video.

He doesn't miss. A tremendous tackler. They have him as a DE in high school, but this changes at the next level of course.

He can really move. His pursuit from sideline to sideline is as good as I've seen.

Again, what I've noticed from the defensive recruits is that they are finishers. They don't miss tackles. Once they're there, you go down.

This kid will make an impact. He has great speed and delivers the hit.

The best part is Florida and Purdue didnt get him!

Richardson according to Scout is a 3 star, 62nd DE. Rivals has him a 3 star, #14 OLB. Neither ranking I would expect for a major state Gatorade Player of the Year.

Scout lists him 6-3 235 4.75 with a combine 40 of 4.81, a short shuttle of 4.79, and a 8.59 3 cone. Not Lawrence Taylor.

Rivals has him at 6-2 228 4.54. The height and weight depend when and how they measure (sneakers, cleats, socks only).

Like the comments I made under the Lewis thread about Toryan Smith's ranking, Richardson's lower ranking is puzzling particularly as a Gatorade POY.

You can see the list there. Sometimes the lower ranked players win out, as you can see Luke Schmidt won in Indiana when James Aldridge is certainly a better prospect.
