Mobile phone help please.

New phone time for myself and the Mrs. Any suggestions? We can both get free Iphone 4's or pay a little for 4S's (only dif between the two is Mgpxl's for camera and voice to text right?). Not going the way of Blackberry as that is like getting on the titanic. Need some help please. Thanks in advance.

Get the Iphone no doubt, 4 or 4S it isnt a major difference , either will be perfect!

I highly suggest paying full price for the iphone 4 or 4s. Best buy has 18 months no interest. If you pay the minimum amount it comes to about 37 a month for each 4s. Then get virgin mobile as your carrier. 30 bucks a month per line for unlimited data and text. 300 talk minutes. (You can pay more for more minutes...). That's only 134 for the 2 of you. Not sure what you are paying but we were paying about 130 for verizon and didn't even have internet.

My contract is up too. I think I'm going to wait and see what the Iphone 5 is like or the newest droid in the fall. I have a droid Incredible now.

I am not a big fan of the iphones. Both me and my friends have swapped to Droids and are happy. I really like my Droid RAZR Maxx. I have nothing but good things to say about it. Plus if you are covered by 4g the jump from 3g is killer awesome.

iPhone 4S. Apple has better apps and OS. My wife got a Droid about the same time 4S came out last year. I dont know what type it was but it was a 4S competitor. She had it for two weeks and hated it. Lots of software glitches and the apps were not so good compared to even the Apple 3S apps. She returned it and got a 4S.

Especially if you have other Apple devices, get the 4S.

Example: The Air Video app. If you have lots of video or music saved to your computer, with this app, you can stream it through wi-fi anywhere in your house to any and all of your Apple devices. To my knowledge Droid does not have an app like this. You dont have to sink it through iTunes anymore, just downlaod the Air Video share program onto your CPU (Win or Mac) and allow sharing the files you want. Yesterday, my wife, me, and my son were all watching different things on our devices through this app. It only cost $3. Plus it is compatible with other media player devices such as WD T live etc...so I can stream it to my TV as well.

This is a good point. If you don't have to worry about your phone playing with anything other than apple products then you are good. If it isn't apple though be ready for a fight.

I'm responsible for our technology here at my work. We have about 60 devices on our plan. As long as it works with Exchnage I let them choose any phone they want. To date all of the users have switched over to iPhones except for one. The 4S is better than the 4. The 5 should come out soon. It's rumored that the 5 will have a new interface for connecting your phone to docking stations and power outlets. They are going to a smaller 9 pin connector meaning if you have docking stations, adapters etc., they won't work with the 5. If you can wait, I would hold off until the 5 comes out and then get a 4S as prices will come down.

I am actually in the phone business. We have meetings in September that actually got moved up a week due to the IPhone 5 launch. Apple is known for last minute changes so I won't say that it is happening for sure at the end of September, but we are planning for it. I believe September 21st is the current rumor date. I am sure it will change 3/4 more times though.

Yeah Apple is famous for that. I wonder if it will be handled differenty now that Jobs is no longer with us?
