Minter needs help

The only thing I don't understand about Rick Minter is why he doesn't blitz more often. Look at the Michigan game. (I don't really want to either). In the first quarter we were sending eight men at Henne and it resulted in a pick for a touchdown. After that we let him stand in the pocket all day long. I don't getit

The problem is that our blitzes haven't been effective. He has tried it a bit (not a lot). But when only 1/5 blitzes results in a loss of yardage for the other team, and they often result in big gains (because the line picked it up well), then it just isn't working.

We just need to get better at it. I think it starts withthe DL again. When they can't get the O-line off balance, and creates wholes for the blitzing corners or LB's, then the blitzers don't have anything but a solid wall to run around. The opposing OL's are dictating where our DL goes, both in pass protection and in the runnign game. And it should be the other way around for us to be effective.
