Obvisouly this guy is kind of like Weis in aggresiveness. But lets be real he is a college football coach. Weis is is a great O-cord, there is no doubt. I just think that Leach would creat a better program and develop our players better. Imagine what Clausen could do in W/ Leach. Taylor POTTS!! Who is that? Throws for 400 yds a game! Weis can run a good offense but at least Leach can run with the best of them. (Staying close to #2 Texas tonight)

Texas Tech allowed 34 points. Where is the benefit here? ND scores plenty. Can't keep the other team off the board.

And tell me, what's the difference? 2 teams that score a crap load of points, but can't stop a turtle from crossing the street. The only difference is that CW's offense gets you ready for the NFL, while Leach gets you ready for the AFL (oh wait, that's defunct).

Leach has done a great job at TT, but he's doing nothing different than he CW when CW has athletes. And in case you didn't notice...ND is a completely different animal than TT. Pressure packed to say the least. Everybody gunning for you every single week, with an alumni base that expects to win every single week, even in the offseason. And how do you know he can recruit ND eligible STUDENT-athletes???

Leach = no thanks.

... Imagine what Clausen could do in W/ Leach. ...

Jimmy had the chance to be with anybody he wanted to be with. He, his daddy, his QB brothers, and his personal QB coach had the pick of the litter. They didn't chose the best guy that threw it the most, the one with the prettiest hair (and winning percentage), the popecoach who has won wherever he has gone, nor any of the Heisman Winner Molders. They chose Weis.

When Jimmy had his arm surgery. He could have taken a redshirt year and transferred to any school that wasn't setting the NCAA Record for Most Sacks Allowed. He could have mended among T&A without having to compete with classroom All-Americans in things like Calculus. Again the Brain Trust chose Weis.

They've got millions of dollars riding on their choice in a one shot deal.

When did you get to a better judge of coaching ability than those guys?

In the mid 90's Lou Holtz said, "At Notre Dame the fans favorite QB is the one not playing!"

Updating to 2009, "At Notre Dame the fans favorite Coach is anyone not working here!"

I absolutely love Mike "defense be damned" Leach.

But then again I just generally enjoy crazy people.

I do however think he is a better coach than Big C, BUT as many here have already pointed out ND and TT are two different machines.

On a side note TT totally beat themselves last night.

Mike Leach. You are kidding right! I rather have Tommy Tuberville or Jeff Telford before we bring in a system coach. How is Graham Harrel doing in the pros?

I'm not sure anyone outside of the ND locker room believe %100 in CW as a HC, but until THEY give up on him, who cares!

I like Leach, but honestly last year was a freak year for Tech. If they ever get 10 wins or above again I'll be shocked.
