McDonald makes it official

After his long awaited April vist to Notre Dame, LB Anthony McDonald, from Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, CA decided to go ahead make his commitment to play football for the Irish official. Many who follow college football recruiting have suspected for a while that Anthony would commit to Notre Dame it was only a matter of when, rathern than if it would occur. Well Anthony must have felt very comfortable from the start of his visit because he went ahead and pulled the trigger today on the first day of his trip. The weather seems to be improving as the evening goes along so hopefully that will help to contribute to what will turn out to be a very fruitful weekend for the Notre Dame staff and the rest of us crazy Irish recruiting fans!

That's a good question. With so few recruits at this point, the standings can really change in just a few short days. I'd have to think we're up there.

I believe he's going to be in Columbus with Filer this weekend for O$U's spring game.

As of right now, the top four are probably USC, Texas, Georgia, and Oklahoma (in no order).

Of course, its really early.--but it's hard to argure against those teams as the teams with the best starts.

Fleming may be Irish by Saturday, but with word that Crist will announce Thursday night, I'm going to go out on a limb and say he's the next to commit.

And of course Texas is off to a good start. They have 18 commits! They're just about done with recruiting by the time the summer is over.
