I don't disagree with much of the facts put forth as mistakes CW made, and the author does point out that CW has taken much of the blame.
But you can also tell the author veered away from the main point of the article (NFL coaches may not be able to transition to college) to Weis is a lousy coach. Only a paragraph or two are devoted to other examples of NFL turned college coach failures.
But here's what I found funny. While painting Weis as a lousy coach who doesn't get it, he also gives Carroll a backhanded compliment, noting he has been successful, but oh ya he
SUCKED IN THE NFL.
So the real message to the AD's should be don't get guys with success in the NFL, get guys who sucked like Pete Carroll sucked. Sorry, I just like saying Pete Carroll sucked.
