Congrads on a great career. 355 Wins 4 Cy Young Awards 18 Gold Gloves. The best ballplayer I have ever seen, who played in the steriod area, who did not do steriods. Or something like that. A sure HOF and a class act.

Greg won 4 Cy Youngs 92,93,94,95 and was in the top 5 for the Cy Young 89,96,97,98,2000.

that's incredible...BUT Randy Johnson is the greatest Pitcher in the Steroid era minus Roger roid rage Clemens.

Johnson won 5 Cy Youngs and placed in the top 5 another 5 times. plus he was the WS MVP. AND most importantly Maddux won 3 of his Cy Youngs with the Braves so screw him...j/k.

My favorite pitcher of all-time. Top 10 of all time. Look at the numbers. What he did in the steroids era, in his prime, with that E.R.A., just unbelievable...

i think it would be pretty sweet if maddux, glavine, and smoltz all went into the Hall of Fame together. we'll see if smoltz and glavine can come back from injuries, if not i think it will happen.

Maddux is for sure the greatest pitcher of his era. The guy was pure baseball. For years he had an ERA points below the league average and just rattled off insane years in the early '90s. Movement and placement made him just plain nasty!

Will go down as one of the very best control pitchers ever to play the game and you gotta love a guy who can beat you by a quarter of an inch every time.

Greg Maddux was one of those guys who no matter what team you were a fan of you wanted to see him succeed. I remember when he played for my cubs i was hoping he would go 7 scoreless innings and then his bullpen would implode, of course the cubs sucked in the 90's well for the past century for that matter but i still think he is the greatest pitcher of my lifetime! Hope retirement is well Greg
