Are you serious? Please tell me your in your 90's. I have never created a profile on these because I didn't want to argue with people, but that statement should get you banned from the ND community for the remainder of the season. The Players laughing may not be ready or don't know what to think of how serious he is. Watching some players such as armondo allen, ian williams and hughes and players that have been here getting thier tails whooped the last couple of years, thier dead serious the whole time, and they gets it. Theo Riddick is a freshman who has not been through the embarressment and is jus laughing because he's a silly laided back guy, who has no idea how big this game is. Referring to your age is something I should not even have to bring up, because if yor that old you should th "rocket" was the best and most exciting athlete at notredame ever. Period! If you dont get "Don't Flinch, GO Get IT" Then you have no idea what these kids go through to be on the top of college football. Embarresing is the fact any Notre Dame fan would not get absolutly jacked during that speech. I have been a coach for years and that speech was the best I've ever seen. It would be different if he was laughing, Rocket was dead serious and is probably sick of seeing a Team who is the Legacy of college football fall into the cracks of an average team. All I gotta say if that didnt motivate you, I have no idea what would. Sorry to be YOU!

Welcome aboard! I'm 41, for the record. Lou Holtz never got up and danced around like he was in a rap video. Are you saying that he couldn't motivate people?

There's more than one type of way to motivate. Past motivation didn't get us a W, so I would say anything different is good. I felt like I could beat USC on my own after that speech, so I know it worked.

Well if you would of listen to the words and message being sent and not worrying about his so called "dance moves" then you would understand that its a message Lou Holtz would of gave an extreme applause. Anyways I cant explain something that some people don't get, but I tell you what, even if all the kids didnt get it right there right away, when they walked away they got the meaning of his message and how he went about it. Im done on this.

Please, if this is the way Rocket motivated himself to play a game then why would you not want him to share that? Obviously he knows a thing or 2 about motivation & the desire to win. If that rubs off on the team then I'm all for it. As ND fans we can only hope to look to that field today & see the Blue & Gold playing with that level of intensity.

As for the crack comment you obviously know nothing about spirit & pride as a natural high. I've been with friends at a bar or in front of a TV at some form of gathering for a game & have gotten twice that hysterical over an ND game. Countless games where my voice went out & I couldn't muster another tear due to an overwhelming sense of pride. Rocket obviously has a tremendously deep sense of pride & spirit & obviously gets off on it.

If anything, his speech can be compared to crack because I can't get enough of it & start shaking uncontrollably every time I watch it. Matter of fact I'm gonna go complain to the University for posting football pornography because I have to change my shorts after every time I watch it :p

Now I'm gonna watch it again & punch something.

Everyone gets motivated and amped up in their own way. If it works than why knock it? Don't be so fast to judge other people for what works for them.
