Anybody see Corso this am on the Irish? He said CW is there only because ND does not have the money to get rid of him. He said a third plate collection in the catholic church could not raise the money to get rid of him. Also that the Irish are "crowing" about beating Hawai'i and a record that includes wins over two teams with winning records. Navy and Hawai'i. "Mediocrity is accepted at ND now according to him and its a sad sad day." He said he is a life long Irish fan (a catholic from Chicago). I have never heard him say one good thing about the Irish. So I guess that justifies his bashing of the Irish? If he was a fan he could have said something (one thing) positive. What a jagoff he is. What did he ever do to become a College football expert? Lose a bunch of games as a coach? I noticed Tommy Bowden was on there now too. I guess if you dont want to coach anymore, cant or never could coach, you become an analyst for espn.

the only way to shut fat head corso up is to win football games. losing to teams like syracuse just adds fuel to the fire for these analyst hacks. it is my understanding that father jenkins stepped in and said the money wasn't there this year to get rid of charlie. he was essentially saved by the stock market slide and this current recession we're in.

this win over hawaii was a great stepping stone in my opinion for '09 but the pressure remains on charlie to get the most out of his players week in and week out. i am still waiting for charlie to prove to me he can coach these kids up. it'll also be interesting to see the supposed staff turnover that's to take place.

Corso is just a rambling fool.

he's become a complete joke, especially the last 2 years. he's another ahole who loves to tee off on ND. we need to keep winning and winning soundly. this team is louded with talent and we should beat up on opponents much the same way as we beat up on hawaii. nevada will be our first good test in '09 b/c that team is no slouch. i'm interested in watching their bowl game as well. i think the QB and RB are both returning next season.

ESPN only talks up teams that they have contract with. Since we have a contract with NBC they can't give us to much props and when were down they have to kick us so not so many people are interested. ESPN has become a bullshit network!

Croso couldn't coach a flag football team to a victory. He couldn't get in the NFL so he coached the in the USFL. If he is an ND fan, then I must be Lou Holtz. I can not recall him giving us any respect or credit for anything.
A far as the rest of ESPN is concerned AZ Irish is correct they can't make money from us so they will never gives us credit. They have become way to big for their own good. They anchors are attempting to become celebrities and there is no real journalism. They are the national enquirer of sports reporting. How Kipper puts up with McShay is beyond me and I am no big fan of Kippers. I wouldn't let McShay pick a fantasy team. They should stick to broadcasting games and not giving their uninformed biased opinions of sports.

If we win on the field, he will have no room to talk. If we keep losing to crap teams like Syracuse, they will keep on talking.

Unfortunately your spot on,

How can any of us make a realistic argument after this years poor performances?

The only thing I would/can, argue though, are his comments surrounding our acceptance of mediocrity, why the hell would anyone want to do that!?!

Regarding CW, money and the recession, he could be right?

Well, winning solves many things, including shuting up most of the blowhards at ESPN. Corso, Cowturd, May, that stupid fat bitch from UM, that for some ungodly reason has a job, we win games, and by a lot, these retards shup up. I find it amazing that Cowturd says ND is irrelevant, and yet, somehow, we're the top story going into the bowl game with UH, and the top story when we trounce them like we should have done to more than a few teams this year.
