Per SoCal
"(hey maybe we need to start a Lost thread here, we've hijacked this one )

your bringing up of Michael and Walt is interesting. I never really believed they were "rescued" and made it back to mainland US, mostly cuz Ben is a liar.

this also poses another PR problem for keeping the crash/island secret: how is it that Michael and Walt are "rescued", they would have been rescued, what, 60 days ago? how is it walt and michael are "found" but the other 4 aren't "found" until 60 days later. think of it from someone from mainland US who hears about the crash and then learns of two seperate groups of "rescued" survivors. weird"

i wonder if Michael and Walt were in fact rescued, if that triggered people to send Naomi's boat to be out looking for the island. it could have been the EM pulse emitted when Des turned the key too, i suppose."

Maybe Walt and Michael were found by Naomi's boat people who were already in the area after Desmond turned the key. They would hold them until they found the island. Only 6 survive whatever it was and they had to promise to lie about it. But they start having weird stuff happen to them, Charlie showing up etc and the guilt starts to get to them. I bet Michael is not only the one that died but he may have committed suicide.

and I think Josh Jenkins is the mystery recruit. Walt came to me in a vision and told me :)

Lost watchers unite!

I think Hugo's flashforward where he sees Charlie was also a "walt" sighting like Locke was having. That helps answer the question of whether Walt was really transporting himself (when he appeared soaking wet in what's her name's the tent) somewhere or whether the island is taking on those forms.

It appears the island is reaching out to Hugo by having Charlie appear to him, just like Walt to Locke, and Jack's dad to Jack.

and for those who might ask "why discuss Lost here, why not go to one of those Lost discussion boards?"

all i can say is, "those peeps are nuts!" I was on one of those boards during season 1 and 2, and those peeps are way over the top. not like us who discuss all things ND. we're the sane ones. ;)

I read the LOST board once too. They are insane. I was more confused than just watching the show.

There is a group of about 5 of us here at college and we all get together and watch it but last week we had some new people come. Never try to try to explain to people, who have never watched LOST, whats was going on over the last 3 seasons.

What if Naomi's boat is the new "Dharma Initiative", coming back to take over the island. Howevever, after all the Dharma people were killed they only had a slight idea of where the island was, and not until Des turned the key could they spot it. This would make the survivors now have to fend off this new Dharma inititaive.

Damn it WeisBaby come clean the coffee off my laptop. I just spit it out after laughing seeing that you are Dana Jacobsen's Publicist.

I read on the hijacked thread that one of you said that Sawyer was in the coffin that Jack went to see but I don't think it was. When Jack met Kate at the airport Kate said something about having to go back because someone would be mad at her. I think she was talking about Sawyer.

I watched lost the first 8 or 9 episodes but just couldnt get into it. It just wasnt my thing at the time. Now I hear and watch all of you talk it up and I wonder just what I'm missing now. Dammit. I guess its a bit too late to start watching now. Kate is still HOT as hell though. I think that was her name.

Good thought. It could either be the old Dharma people trying to retake the island, or a new group who was always trying to find the island. Possibly the Widmore company (Penny's dad!).

Ok, here's something i need help with: Dharma came and set up the barracks, the underground hatch system, and tried taking over the island. We know there were "original inhabitants" (the guy who looks like he's wearing eyeliner) that Ben plots a coup and joins up with. They then kill all the Dharma people.

So, here's what I don't understand. Once Ben kills the Dharma people and takes over the island, who or what is supporting the island with food drops, more fuel, and fake companies in the outside world? (remember Ben had eyeliner guy go to the mainland and pose as a scientific research company to lure Juliet to come and join the island.) Also, eyeliner guy is able to leave the island to bring Locke's dad to the island. and they clearly have information sources on the outside, because they had files on everyone.

so why are there still Dharma food drops and who is supplying and funding this island?

that's the best way to do it. I rented Heros one weekend and watched the whole thing while cleaning out closets. No waiting until next week to see what happens and you don't forget as much

i think so. But i don't think he's invisible per se. remember this last episode, Hurley stumbles on the cabin, and he sees someone in the rocking chair and someone at the window. Then Locke shows up.

I think Hurley is becoming in tune with the island, like Locke. maybe the whole faith in the island thing allows you to see jacob. i actually think Ben has lost the ability to see or hear jacob. that's why when Locke hears jacob, Ben gets mad and tries to kill him. he's jealous of Locke and the fact that Locke has gone beyond him in his understanding of the island.

The dude with the eye liner obviously is part of the island and is some magical person, becuase he looks the exact same age when Ben is only a child and takes him in as he does now. This would also explain how he is able to go back to the real world and communicate and bring Locke's dad back, but then again... this might not be right at all.

Sorry about your computer keyboard, as Dana Jacobsen's Publicist I vow to do my best to make sure your keyboard does not get fired and will only have to serve a one week suspension for its actions.

i forgot that eyeliner guy never aged.

See, that is why you have to talk about it on a non-LOST board. Not so much to dig through like on the LOST boards but someone always remembers something that you might have missed :)

I do find it strange he hasn't aged much, but that could just be a logistical problem, much like the fact Walt looks like a teenager when he appears to Locke in the pit. they can't change actors, we would notice. but i don't think he's magical or mystical. we saw they had satellite feeds at the bunker Mikahil ("Patchy") was monitoring.

as far as getting on and off the island, the have the submarine. but that's not something you can just fill-up at the local boat dock.

I hear ya So Cal, there are many angles to take in. It is just my perception that there is something magical on this island, and my thoughts are that the eye liner dude is defintiely incorporated into it.

so i peeked at a crazy board:)

"Mikhail (Patchy) does have the ability to return from death (well near death) and whenever he kills someone (Charlie) they come back 2 life. Charlie is actually still alive, but he will wake up in captivity. Like when Mikhail killed Miss Klugh in the ep Enter 77, she would eventually come back to life in a room in the Orchid (guarded by Others) and thats why Charlie will be in captivity 4 the whole fourth season. This apparently has something 2 do with the study being done in the Orchid. The casimir effect and that stuff plays a big part
The man in the rocking chair is Jacks dad. I saw the enhanced image
on another LOST message board."

what is "casimir effect"? who is Miss Klugh? Where is my new couch!?!

this is why i don't go to those boards usually:)

I still want to know what was that black smoke/fog that was seen in the earlier series. Sounds odd but that what has been bothering me the most. And who is Jacob? Did they show him when Hurly was lost and found his cabin. And I'm guessing that Lock was in there with him too.
