Jason Sapp at BGI posted this about 30 minutes ago:

Just received a call from the head coach at Hoboken High School, Coach Taglieri, and he shared the following:

"Kamara made his decision to go to Notre Dame and had the press conference this morning because he wanted out there and ESPN couldn't do it this morning," coach said. "The ESPN Hot List will be on from 3-6 p.m., and he'll make the announcement live at 5:40 p.m."

That is f%^&ing great news. Another one in the bag baby. We just keep stacking up the talent. Kumara, Clausen, Trattou, even the others, are the kind of recruits we haven't had for a long time. Im honored to be an ND fan.

Not that it matters, but what is the star rating on this kid? If he is one of the top 5 receivers in the country, he should be up there, huh?

He's on most people's top 100 lists. Four for sure. Maybe five.

He's quite a safety as well.

Don't worry, Rivals will now downgrade him to a 4 or 3 star....Choo Choo Charlie just keeps the recruiting train of MO' going.....

AH and to think there are still 115 days until GaTech.....Maybe see him a la Shark against Purdue (I believe) as a DEEP Safety on hail marys'....

He sounds like a great athlete in general. He could end up playing on D depending on the rest of the class. My son and Duval has become acquaintances on the internet and AIM eachother sometimes. You can see my son on his myspace, his name is Justin. He seems like a good kid and already volunteered at "Hero's Camp", a basketball training camp for inner city kids in South Bend that some ND athlete's help out. They both play basketball and My brother-n-law built the gym for hero's camp in one of his warehouses in downtown. One of our biggest supporters that I became friends with was LaPhonso Ellis if anyone remembers him. I taught him how to play tennis and he fell in love with it.

I don't want to sound ungrateful but Im lacking excitement with these Offensive recruits.

I reallllllly want to land a big-time Defensive recruit. I can remember how I felt when ND landed Darrin Walls.

Luck I agree with you. Kamara is a great grab and I couldn't be happier, but a big time defensive player would be huge. If we just keep stacking up the offense the defensive guys are sure to see that. In time they will come.

Kamara is a BIG get. Don't let the defensive recruiting get you down on this one. Imagine four years of Stovall under Weis. That's what's coming with this kid.

Besides, Trattau is a big time defensive recruit. You'll get to experience it soon enough.
