What about Absher moving to center. If I remember correctly he was cross training there. Jags back to guard. That gives you some crazy size come playoffs.

Could Jagusah play with his arm in a cast? Is that against the laws of the game?

Jagusah is not only the best OL on the team; he’s one of the best in all of cfb. Remember what we saw of him in the playoffs last year? He was destroying dudes. If he’s healthy enough to play then he’s going to play.

He seems like a myth. He has played in a total of 2 games.
That is wild when you think about it. I’ll have to go back and rewatch the playoffs last year to remind myself what he’s about

You also have to realize that he just had no to very limited weight training the last four months. That has a serious impact on being able to perform at that level
I'm not expecting him to play. I was answering a question.

He had a torn pectoral last year. He was completely unable to do any pushing movements, and yet was pushing guys all over the field in the playoffs. 🤷‍♂️

I would venture to guess that if Kenny Minchey came in for a meaningful down, the opposing defensive coordinator might have a slight hunch as to what is coming. It would seem very predictable.

Further, we have to question the staff's evaluation at QB considering Minchey is the obvious answer to some for the OL supposedly being shit.

I don't know, two games left, 8 game winning streak. I'm really inclined to think that going with four wideouts and having special packages for Minchey is not, will not and should not be a thing at this point of the season.

Youse keep going, though. Whatever passes the time.
Your guess would be wrong. Minchey is more than capable of throwing an accurate ball, he would be dangerous in read option with either RB, and could also run the QB draw/ QB power better than CJ. It's not predictable for any DC.

Does ND need to do anything special vs Syracuse and Stanford? No

Does anyone with decent eyesight think ND can keep doing same old same old in goal line and short yardage vs playoff teams like Oregon, Georgia, and Ohio State? No. Can ND keep running 2 yard out routes to Rairdon without being predictable? No.

My guess would be wrong. LOL.

So is Mike Denbrock, who has been coaching since 1990. Great stuff.

ND is one of the worst short yardage and fourth down teams in the country. ND has the best RB in the nation, a really good QB, really good TE, Really good WRs, and a good oline. It's obvious where the issue lies. It's the first time i've seen Freeman light up a coach on the sideline. Denbrock just stood there and took it.

A person spending years in their field doesn't make them infallible, but he better come up with new ideas for the playoffs in goal line and short yardage.

We lose in the CFP. Everyone focuses on the missed extra point and bad officiating vs A&M but what we could control we did not, that was short yardage. We had first and goal from the 4 vs A&M and settled for a fg. We had fourth and one at midfield and lost a yard, giving the ball back to A&M with great field position and they tied the game up.

It happened vs USC and almost cost us. WE had first and goal from the USC 3 and couldn't run it in and we throw a bad pick.

Short yardage cost us vs A&M and almost USC, and it could cost us in the CFP.

Eight game win streak minus Greathouse and a banged up offensive line, dudes here still know more.

Just slapped one of the best rush defenses in America around on their home field but failed to convert a fourth and goal, which just can't happen if they should hypothetically play Ohio State or Georgia.

I mean, to each their own, but I'm really enjoying the overall experience here rather than focusing on small warts and what could go wrong in a month.

Team Glory, etc.

You can be really enjoying this team right now and also talk about a few areas ND clearly needs to improve on.

Saturday was one of the most entertaining fun games i've ever attended in person. So many unique plays and huge plays in the game, great atmosphere, tons of celebs, a little pre game field access, freeman going absolutely off on the officials and even denbrock. A lot went on in the game!

ND played really good, awesome to watch, but we can also want to improve on short yardage and carrs brain farts. It's not one or the other.

Going purely off of the depth chart, why wouldn't a healthy Jag replace Absur forbthe playoffs? Has Absur been that good?
Absher is playing in Schrauth's absence.
Lambert is playing in Jag's spot.

As for how he's played. He's been pretty solid. But he's a noticeable downgrade from Billy.
