Peacock is airing a documentary Joe Montana: Cool Under Pressure. The first episode is available with the free subscription. Thankfully the first episode was about his high school days and his time at Notre Dame. I thought it was really pretty good and it was cool to relive the 77 and 78 seasons all over again.
Documentary pulls a lot of old footage of games, interviews etc, but also has some new stuff including reuniting Montana, Vagas Ferguson and Kris Haines. One interesting tidbit was all three recalled how the Cotton Bowl (Chicken Soup Game) was trying to thaw the artificial turf for the game against Houston, so they threw rock salt on the field. Of course the salt never dissolved and ravaged guys arms and legs as they landed on the chunks of salt.
Lots of stuff I already knew, but there was a lot of things I learned that I never did know.
