Jimmy’s going to the NFL next year, I’m sure of it. How could he pass on the final opportunity for a big payday? But Jimmy came to ND to win a Heisman and four national championships and he has yet to win any of them. Next year he is sure to win at least one of them so I am positive he is going to stay. But Jimmy came to ND to be groomed by Weis for the NFL and it’s been a success. NFL scouts are seriously looking at this guy as a first round recruit next season so he’s gone for sure next year. But Jimmy has never beaten USC, never won a BCS game and has now lost to Navy twice so he has way too much to prove before he leaves. There’s just no way he’s going to the NFL next year. But Jimmy has been beaten up his entire career at ND and I’m sure he’s getting tired of it. His toe has been a burden on him most of the season and the goal line hit by Navy was another wake up call. What’s going to happen next year when over half of his OL graduates? Ain’t no way he’s coming back for another beating, especially after watching Bradford get pounded this year. Jimmy’s gone for sure next year…..he loves ND too much to leave. I'm sure of it.

Undirishnut,
Does Clausen love ND?? I have never seen him show it.
Now I know that I am going to get a lot of crap for this and second to NDinLA; I am a huge Clause fan. I don't think he is fully ready for the NFL. Yes, Clausen has gotten beaten up his career at ND, but how do we know the same thing won't happen in the NFL?? Being at all of the games this year and last year, Clausen keys in on one receiver, when that one receiver is covered, he scrambles (which in all honestly takes valuable time off the clock) and the unexpected happens. Clausen does show his toughness, but so did Brady Quinn and look at where he is now. This is Clausen's truely only good year at Notre Dame so far; the season isn't over and the scouts weren't to impressed w/ Jimmy last year. If Jimmy goes to the NFL it will be for the money. I see Jimmy staying and trying to get Tate to stay.

Relax J, relax. Perhaps my sarcasm is lost in binary translation. You just reiterated my point, just in a more direct fashion.

Quinn isn't half the QB that Clausen is. Frankly if he is coming back to win a NC you might as well just enter the draft now. Might have a shot at the Heisman, but USC will be infinitely better next year and he'd be competing with his best pal for that honor.
If someone tells him that he is a high first rounder he should leave imo.

USC is losing their entire o-line and secondary. I wouldnt doubt a couple of their skill guys leaving early either. A team is more than a QB so infinitely better may be a stretch

He'll be back if he loves football because when he gets to the pros he won't be loving it. HE looks like he likes what he's doing. He and CW are a package deal IMO. We learn how to balance the offense next week and the defense plays with a lead all day.
