That's about as funny as the people down here that think Christian Ponder has a serious shot at the Heisman.

every coach is going to say that about their respective QB's but i dont think anyone can honestly say any Qb has played better week in and week out than JC

Haven't you heard?, he has an unbelievable completion percentage and only has 1 pick that wasn't his fault!!!

Harbaugh is just pissed because Clausen didn't go to Stanford, and didn't Harbaugh refuse to shake Jimmy's hand after the game last year......

This from a guy who Notre Dame feasted on - particularly when the game was on the line - because no one had a worse reputation for forecasting passes (his eyes might as well have been lazer pointers) in college that JH.

In his defense - he may not have a TV, also explains his record if he's not watching the opposing team.

Yeah, Jim Harbaugh, good comparison. No better QB in the country. Let's take a look at Luck's stats:

114-196 (58%) for 1825 Yards with 9 TD's and 3 Int's (148.5 rating)

Jimmy stats:

150-230 (65%) for 2050 Yards with 16 TD's and 2 Int's (161.3 rating)

Luck is having a good year, but Stanford really hasn't played anybody yet and they still have 3 losses. They are probably going to lose their last 4 games (Oregon, USC, Cal and Notre Dame) and will not end up being even bowl eligible. Let's take a look at Andrew Lucks stats after the Oregon and USC games.

And remember that Luck has had the luxury of having a fantastic running game to make his life a lot easier. Gerhart is a very good back and teams scheme for him. I have watched Luck play on TV a few times, the kid definitely has potential, but he is nowhere near the QB JC is. Luck isn't even the best QB in his conference, probably not second-best either.

2,176 yards, 12 TDs, 1 INT against the 9th toughest schedule in the NCAA.

He just threw for 395 yards on the 3rd toughest pass defense in the country. He has a corps of inexperienced receivers, ZERO running game, and one of the worst defenses in the nation backing him up.

Sounds like a Heisman candidate to me.

They had this on college football gameday, and that one guy said that he thought Jimmy Clausen was the best QB in college football.

Oh boy! You convinced me now! Man that victory over Jacksonville State was epic heisman winning stuff there!

He's playing on a team that is not winning. If FSU wins that close Miami game, and the not as close as it looked BC game, then he would be in the discussion. They only have one good win (BYU), and needed a comeback against Jacksonville State in the fourth quarter with less than a minute left.

Thats a lot of points in the last minute if they won 19-9. But anyways I see.

We will have several oppotunities to shut people up and we need to take full advatage of them starting with Mark May and Pitt. We can add HArbaugh and Stanford to that list. We beat this punk 2 years ago when we had 3 wins! Our D needs to step up and not make it so easy for the opposing QB to look so good (Barkley USC). Robert Smith on ESPN yeasterday said JC was the best QB in CFB. All his come from behind drives etc. I hope all this doesn't lead to him leaving. They actually mentioned Barkley as a dark horse for the HEisman after the USC/ND game. He has 7 TD's and 5 picks this year with no yards rushing. Give me a break.

Harbaugh has a top 15 2010 recruiting class - so far - but it's all 3 stars -it's like he wrapped up every 3 star he could sell Stanford to. Ranking will fall as 4 & 5 stars start to commit - - - - - elsewhere.
