He's a total idiot, I refuse to watch that dumb show along with PTI, all the yelling, and arguing, it's just to sell their show. One other thing, I'm sick of people saying, "well ND has all this hype, or they're not living up to the hype." like it's their fault, ND did not create all of this hype for themselves, the media did. When's the last time you watched any sports show and ND was not mentioned. Growing up a sun-times knda guy ive been subject to seeing his article for a long time. At first when i was young and naive I read the article. After a little while of pavlov's dog training just seeing mariotti enrages me.

He's the most fickle of sportswriters.... which is a tremendous accusation. One week he's a cubs fan, the next a sox fan, the next he thinks that baseball has entirely gone to hell and anyone how has ever liked a team is insane. Some days a team is gonna have the next dynasty, the next they havent been good for 5 years and wont be good the next 5.

Marriotti is famous for columns like this. Ozzie Guillen was incensed that Marriotti slammed the White Sox constantly but never "had the guts" to show up in the locker room. When criticism comes your way, the best advice is to "consider the source" and Marriotti is very likely the most widely despised so-called sportswriter in Chicago. Wasn't he fired by the Sun-Times and then reinstated after a legal tussle?

Both. He's a sports columnist for a newspaper in Chicago, and he's also a regular panelist on "Around The Horn" on ESPN.

Personally, I find him somewhat entertaining, but that's probably because I also don't take him very seriously. And I can certainly see why others would find him... um... grating. I guess I'm just easily amused.

Actually dont mind Jay as much as the Fat Version of Mark May who has been subbing in on PTI. This last week while sitting in for Wilbon he has ripped the Irish. He is a voter on the AP Panel and said he put them at 10. States the Irish are overrated and not any good.

I will be happy win GA Tech knocks out some high ranked ACC Teams then it will prove we won a quality road game against a quality team not against a cream puff directional school like a major portion of the top 25 played.
