I think he expected to announce until Aug. 1.

Farrell's column was a collection of thoughts on recruiting across the nation. His comments on the bright future of the ND OLine was one of those thoughts.

1st week of August, and I keep reading August 1. Same timeframe as Chris Donald. Could be a big week or a big letdown for ND recruiting that week.

With the depth of this roster, I'm not going to be picky.

Ultimately, I think Wilson will be Irish, but Donald hasn't given me that impression yet based on what the Trinity reports as of late.

Just read Rivals article on Wilson's camp trip to ND and it really seems he's a certain lock to be a domer. He's gotta be the next commit. I've let the Donald ship sail off.......would much rather have this road-grater kid anyway. Although ND will need to grab a couple more solid backers as we all know 'Tez will prob move to DE down the road if he commits.

According to other boards, the "hot" rumor is that Wilson is going to USC. If I'm putting this all together right, the rumor is based on his MySpace account. The headline read "I'm going to Southern Cal." I saw it, but it was later de-activated. Parts of it lead me to believe it is true, while other segments do not.

We REALLY need this guy and he could be a major contributor right away. Let's hope this is a bad rumor. Unfortunately I do not feel too good about him right now...

Once again, to follow the trend of this thread, it appears this is BS as well. In an interview (maybe Rivals? not sure) James announced that his ex-girlfriend posted the headline on his Myspace account and he took it down afterwards. I think the general thought is that ND sitting very strong with the stud OG.

Hopefully his trip to South Bend, relationship with the coaches, etc. win out...
