Great news for us Colt fans. Luck is ready to go. With Q up front the O-line instantly got better and his work ethic will force the other linemen to get better. With a healthy Luck and some protection I think the Colts are going to surprise a lot of people.

https://www.indystar.com/story/spor...colts-preseason-opener-vs-seahawks/834778002/

We play a bunch of teams in the bottom group of passing Ds, and only a few in the top,,,,,, So..... Luck should have a pretty good year if he is truly healthy and back. It's nice to have hope once again. Hoping Q takes over leadership of the OL group fast.

Was at the game yesterday. Luck looks like he was never hurt. He made that stupid throw at the beginning of the game, but his passes had zip and he was placing it where it needed to be.

Q looked pretty good. He got beat a couple of times on two run plays, but he was going against one of the better D tackles in the league and held his own.

after a 1-5 start, colts go 9 of ten down the stretch to get into the playoffs.

i've been tempering expectation all year long, but that's damn impressive.

going to be hard beating Houston in Houston again.

Love the job Luck, Reich, and Ballard are doing. Pretty amazing comeback, coaching job, and personnel job.

If Reich isn't coach of the year, I don't know who else could ever possibly qualify.

yup. and Luck should easily get comeback player of the year. still miffed that he has 10 more TDs than Brady and didn't get the pro bowl.

Leonoard should get rookie of the year too.

If there's a GM of the year, Ballard should get that too.

I'd really love to see them add another solid receiver to go with Hilton. Also I wouldn't mind if they swung for the fences and tried to get Le'veon Bell. They look like they're not too far away from being very very good again.

Haven't there been reports that Indy is his preferred landing spot?

the "just imagine" tweet was pretty telling IMO. not saying he'll end up here, but it's a great start if Ballard is willing to spend the cheese.

They have 3 early picks (one mid/late first, one early second (jets), and one mid/late second. They should be able to address WR, CB, and DL/Edge with those. Having the most cap $ in the NFL will allow them to shop down any aisle they want.

a stud WR is my first wish though.

Someone to offset Hilton would be great and a good CB and edge rusher.

I loved the pub Q got last night. He started the game with a pancake and never stopped. He should make All Pro.

It's looking like they go D-Line with their first pick, being that this draft class is loaded with prospects, then most likely get the best WR on the board with their first in the 2nd. I personally would love to see Nkeal Harry, Kelvin Harmon, AJ Brown, or any bigger WR that can high-point the ball. Arcega Whiteside is an interesting thought as well. Golden Tate is getting thrown around a lot, but I only like that if he's willing to take a very Colts-friendly contract, because he's definitely not getting any younger. Lev would be huge, and if he truly wants to play in Indy then maybe he's willing to shave a few $ off of his sure-to-be ridiculous asking price. Besides, James Conner may have hurt his overall value in FA.

since DL is deep, they might wait till the 2nd or 3rd pick in the second round. WR and CB seem to be not-so-deep, so might be best to grab one of those first. personally i would take the best available (DL/WR/CB) with that first pick. unless there's a huge drop off in one the areas.

it's going to be interesting and fun to watch after 2018's awesome class.
hope they spend that cap..

Tate was actually having his best year in the last 4 IIRC before he was moved. i'd be happy to take him on a 2 year deal if his workout (speed) was good.

I only take Bell if he accepts a reasonable contract and He can convince Ballard he won’t be disruptive like he was with the Steelers. Colts have great team chemistry and I would hate to screw with it.

this.

while i would love to have him, it scares me a bunch. to be honest, i'd rather spend the cap money on a stud WR/CB/DL that we know is a great locker room guy, and pick up Dex in the 3rd.....

Dex should be a very good back in the pros. I wouldn't mind if Ballard picked him up.

Lev clearly wants to play in Indy, and if we could get him for 13-14 I say do it. We could sign him at 15 mil 8 times over, there's that much cap room. He's 26 about to be 27, and has some elite years ahead of him, and he's fresh. He adds so many dynamics that it's really a bargain. He's essentially another WR, he's great in pass-pro, and is obviously good between the tackles. If they draft say Hakeem Butler, sign Lev, and maybe Dee Ford or a CB, or both, we would still have a generous amount of cap room, probably still top 10. I wouldn't be opposed to trading our later 2nd rounder to move up in the 1st to grab a true stud on the D Line, like the kid from Houston, Montez Sweat, or Jachai Polite, those guys are monsters and the Colts are truly a few pieces from being SB contenders. I read today that since Week 7, the Colts have the best scoring defense in the NFL, and have the highest scoring margin.

Yeah this draft is loaded along the defensive line and at WR too really. I just hope they don't take a guy like Hollywood Brown or Parris Campbell, guys with similar skillsets to TY Hilton. Add Hakeem Butler, Nkeal Harry, or Arcega Whiteside along with Golden Tate and Lev and I think the Colts are a 13-3 team next year with real SB aspirations.

I've seen mocks with them taking a WR, CB, and DL so it will be interesting to see where Ballard's head is at. Knowing his philosophies, I'd assume he continues to build from the inside out and selects a defensive lineman first, and a CB/WR with the first in the 2nd. I'd imagine whichever they don't address in FA will be the focal points of the draft. I just hope he continues to nail the draft, because Grigson was god-awful lol.

Also, while we're at it, let's go ahead and snag AB lol. Add Lev, AB, and Golden Tate in the slot and this would be the best offense possibly ever. Pipedream, I know.

Nelson just named All Pro along with teammate Darius Leonard. First time rookie teammates have made All Pro since Sayers & Butkus.

Hopefully Ballard continues to draft well, and identify talent. Couldn't really miss on Q tho lol dude was gonna be a stud. Getting Braden and Leonard were excellent picks tho. I can't see Ballard not picking a defensive lineman with that 1st pick, and then one of the many talented WRs in the 2nd. I honestly think he may go both DL and CB before he hits WR with their other 2nd rounder, being that WR is fairly loaded, and the plethora of top-end defensive talent should allow many of them to fall into the 2nd possibly 3rd round. I want Nkeal Harry, Hakeem Butler, DK Metcalf, or AJ Brown but if Ballard chooses to wait I'd be fine with Arcega Whiteside and a possible FA addition at WR.

He will draft the best player available unless it's a Braden Smith situation where he is the last guy in your top group at a position. Can not believe what finds Inman, Pascal, Ebron, Mollie Cox, Glowinski and Rogers have been on offense. Mohammad and Mitchell on defense.
