So, after watching Auburn and Baylor again this weekend, I think CFB needs a rule change. Illegal man downfield needs to be more like the NFL, where I believe there is no buffer. Currently, in CFB, as long as you are within three yards of the LOS, there is no penalty. But teams like Baylor and Auburn are really taking this to the limit. I know it has been shown before, but look at the second to last TD Auburn had versus Bama. To me, this is unfair to the defenders. So many key in on the OL and when they are three yards downfield, the key says run.
This change and changing targeting from an auto ejection to ejection by review only (and being able to overturn the penalty if video shows no foul) are the two big changes I want to see.
