See my detailed comments in the ND v Tennessee thread. Briefly they played soft offensives which padded their numbers. Best DLine but Michigan's D played a better game against ND than any of the 5 UT games I've seen this year.

I'd love to see scUM go up against ND's offense now.

Pound for pound talent, Tennessee is the best D on the schedule. Their speed could be a major factor.

Hopefully Charlie exploits them.

I think that a ND/FSU matchup would be entertaining- primarily b/c FSU has a crushing defense, and would be up for ND (they are a heck of a lot better than SC's defense!) However, FSU's offense is deplorable- would be a close one...

The 1-7 Dukies (the win's over Div II VMI) scored 24, the most against a Div 1 opponent this year.

They're only giving up 17 points/game but look what the opponents offenses have been averaging:

I'd have to agree with Tom Foolery here.

Florida State defenses are molded to be fast and physical. I don't know the context of how those points were allowed, and usually I don't really bother with points. Total yards in relation to points is the gage I typically look at.

ND's defense with total yards and points allowed don't match up because of the turnovers they force. Some of those points were also allowed in garbage time or when they were up big by halftime.

FSU defenses always have athletic guys that can make big plays.
