but easier to get in than today's opponent.

I don't know the details of this comment one way or another.

But, I have a hunch you're going to get blasted for this. Prepare yourself. :meditate:

Edit: The internet seems to agree with you. Stanford is one of the top 5 or 10 toughest to get into by acceptance rate (about 13%).

Rich Rodriguez was 3-8 in his first year at West Virginia (9-4 the next)

Kirk Ferentz was 1-10 in his first year at Iowa (3, 7, 11 wins in the next three)

Bobby Petrino was 5-7 in his first year at Arkansas (8-5 the next, currently ranked #10)

Jim Tressel was 7-5 in his first year at Ohio State (14-0 the next)

Nick Saban was 7-6 in his first year at Alabama (12-2 the next)

Lou Holtz was 5-6 in his first year at Notre Dame (followed by 8-4 and 12-0)

Bob Stoops was 7-5 in his first year at Oklahoma (13-0 the next)

Heck, Jo Pa was 5-5 in his first year at Penn State (albeit during the Lyndon B. Johnson administration)

There are people like Urban Meyer, Les Miles, and Mack Brown who came in and had immediate success. But, they are the exception.

This is why I can be patient this year...that, and we're still only 3 games into the season.
It's just like taking over a corporation, you can prep all you want but it takes the first year of actual business before you can evaluate your problems and make the proper adjustments. This just doesn't happen over night this years experience for the coaches and player is an investment in the programs future......nothing worth having is easy

Anyone who blasts me for that comment

Anyone who blasts me for that comment

does not know the facts. Stanford is harder to get into than ND. That is not disrespecting ND, it is just reality.
