Can't get an answer to my "dumbass" post.

Must be because....."Negative ghostrider.....the pattern is full."

there should be two buttons that appear on each post - those are your options for responding. the first is a set of quotation marks, and the second is a pencil writing on paper.

click on the quotation marks button instead of the pencil on paper button (for the post you want to quote in your new post) and the quote will appear in your text box when you go to type. if you only want a part of the quote, you can highlight and delete sections that you don't want, but don't delete the words in brackets at the beginning and end of the quoted paragraphs. doing so will prevent it from distinguishing between your post and the quoted post when you submit it.

for posts that you've submitted, there will be a third button that looks like a pair of scissors. you can use that one to go back and edit content after you've already submitted a post.

Thanks BigIrish. I'll give it a go. If my idiocy doesn't get in the way, that is.

I think I might have it. But to break up one quote into many individual quotes you have to manually copy the HTML tags (if that's what these bracketed quotes are called) and place them where you want them.

Now hit preview post and....drum roll please.....

By George, I think I've done it.
Thanks for the help guys. My idiocy seems to be waning.
