Inspired by BGIF... I'm going to let you guys rename and re-rank the current user post level rankings.

Here are the current rankings:

Waterboy 0
Walk-On 50
Blue Chip Recruit 250
Freshman 500
Sophomore 1000
Junior 1500
Senior 2000
Starter 3000
Team MVP 5000
All-American 7500
Legend 10000

I'm going to let you guys decide on the new rankings. I'd like to see between 10-15 levels of rankings and figured what better then to let the users decide! So lets see what you come up with!

I dont think they should be guided by the number of posts. As irishgo8 demonstrated the number of posts is not accurate.

I think time on the site. I dont think the site should turn in to the senior members talking down or thinking the newer members have nothing to contribute, but I think time should have just as much weight as the number of posts.

I know I posted over two hundred times last season but once the season ended I only posted about 50 times in twice the amount of time. I know there are others that have posted less once the season ended as well.

Especially since Weis came to ND there could be alot of band wagon fans coming to the site. I think people should get recognition for standing with the Irish when they were going through tough times.

Well, unfortunately, they are done programatically by number of posts. Like I mentioned when irishgo8 was around, that is what the reputation system is for. This is nothing more then something fun and I figured the posters should dictate their post count ranks.

I don't even know how the reputation status even works

I like the current system of rankings, I believe on this site no one gets talked down to because of the number of posts they have...we are all Irish fans.

speaking of reputation, does anybody use that anymore? or have i just posted anything worthwhile since january? ;-)

I still use it.

There is a yellow star on the user's postbit that you can click to give positive or negative reputation.
