Just a reminder that the Heisman Presenation is on tonight on ESPN. I would be very surprised if BQ doesn't get second.

I'm very proud of him. It's just too bad that Troy is going to win the trophy because Brady has bettter numbers than Troy Smith. Brady should win but because Ohio State is unbeaten and playing for a National Championship, Troy Smith will win.

I like McFadden. He seems like a pretty nice guy.

No matter what the outcome, lets not have a bunch of negative posts. I sick and tired of reading the comparisons between the two.

Amen. As a matter of fact, I'm glad this is over. If I had to read one more comparison thread I was going to pop.

College voters are so biased its not even funny.

National championships and Heisman awards will be an uphill battle for us from now on.

We are back to feared and hated status boys. Soak it up!

Brady Quinn...wow, after watching the piece on him prior to the announcement I came away with a newfound respect for that guy...double major, law school, 3.5 years?? I mean come on, you can just tell he gives off such a vibe its hard to not like the kid and follow him...McFadden looked like a little kid going around NYC, good to see him like that, such a big dude and looking so much like a kid....congrats to the ND community, you have a ton to be proud of with Quinn, class act!!!

3rd...whatever...it is a great honor to be invited and he made ND fans proud. Congrats to him. Also to Troy Smith and Darren McFadden as well...all appear to have very bright futures.

Now you know why ND fans don't back down from defending him from anything. He stands for everything that is good about college football.

Yeah I am disappointed that BQ didn't get 2nd or 1st. But what I am impressed about is his academics. To graduate from ND in 3.5 years as well as having a double major.... Very Impressive.

3rd is a joke. But at least he got the Maxwell. the people who decide that must actually have brains. But again, just wait for the draft. NFL scouts aren't into popularity contests. They are into the guy who will help their team win.

I agree that it was great and outstanding to just be invited to something like the Heisman Trophy ceremony, and to learn even more about Quinn's stellar character and personal side. He is truely an outstanding all around individual and I'm really going to miss seeing him play on saturdays for the blue and gold. But lets cut through the BS and quit kidding ourselves, 3rd place? What respect I had left for this trophy was almost totally lost tonight.

Congrats to ABC and ESPN, you guys accomplished your mission that you bound and determined to accomplish, to get smith the heisman and to basically shrug off Quinn's #s that he put up because of "lesser" competition than those that smith and mcfadden played against. Pisses me off to no end. I would say this should give Quinn some added motivation for the Sugar Bowl. That is the last time I'll bitch about this and post anything negative about the Heisman, I had to get this off my chest because I was so pissed off after watching this tonight, I was dying to vent.

Whats funny is he could never play a down of football again and still make more money than over 3/4 of the people who voted against him.

after watching the Heisman Awards tonight - and seeing how much of a classy, humble boy Brady is , I am proud to be an ND fan and a Brady Quinn fan. His school work alone, makes me proud - now I don't understand him getting 3rd - but whatever - we'll see who goes first in the NFL draft.
