Buffalo Bills: Sources tell us that Stanford Head Coach Jim Harbaugh has been offered their head coaching position.

Harbaugh has been mentioned on the Raiders List and The Changed Lane List. It's a matter of time.

A USA Today article says that Harbaugh was offered the Bills job, then turned it down.

Link: CBS: Stanford's Jim Harbaugh turns down Bills' offer to become head coach - The Huddle: Football News from the NFL - USATODAY.com

However, it appears that the Raiders are interested. Jim Harbaugh a "stealth" candidate for Bills, Raiders jobs | ProFootballTalk.com The offer brings up a good point, that Harbaugh will strongly deny interest in both jobs until he is actually declared to one of the positions.

Not sure why anyone would want to go coach for Oakland - but there are only so many NFL head coaching jobs out there. He wouldn't have to move either.

Will be interesting... I hate the guy.

I can't see anyone wanting to deal with Al Davis and the Raiders.

Blake's trip to Palo Alto looking for coaching stability appears to have encountered a temblor:

Harbaugh Watch

Jim Harbaugh Bides His Time, Possibly Waiting For a Block M - Brian Cook - The Sporting Blog - Sporting News_

Brian Cook of The Sporting News makes a case that while Harbaugh is the hot coach du jour he was wise to pass on the Bill and Raiders. Cook thinks he may have Ann Arbor as his goal after Rodriquez stumbles in a third consecutive season. Harbaugh irritated the Weasel faithful with his attack on UM's academics for athletes policy but that would be forgotten if one of their own continues to win while the West Virginia carpetbagger doesn't.

Personally I'd rather have Harbaugh in Palo Alto and RichRod in AA.

I'm changing the name of this thread from Harbaugh Offered by Buffalo Bills to Harbaugh Watch so we don't have to keep opening up new threads for his latest offer.

I think all this has to help us with Blake, even if he is turning down these jobs. He is in hot demand, and will not say no to everyone, he is just smart enough to say no to crappy jobs.

I was surprised Tennessee didn't go after him. He's a more likely candidate that the Air Force coach or Derek Dooley. He may not want to be part of that AD's train wreck. Wait for the next UTn AD.

The interest will continue in Harbaugh. Palo Alto isn't a final destination.

As much as Harbaugh is a giant douche. There's something I like about him. Can't really put my finger on it... although I think it has something to do with the way he arrived in SoCal and started stirring things up with USC and PC. And then backed it up by beating them on the field.... and then running it up last season. Not just cheap talk. I appreciate that... I think.
