Guess who's the new #2 Heisman Candidate?

I won't be upset if BQ doesn't win the Heisman, but I'd be lying if I said I would't be overjoyed with the misery that would befall all of the ND haters with an ND Heisman winner. Especially if Smith chokes in the biggest game of his life.

As Mentioned Previous The Heisman race boils down to this...Smith Vs. Quinn
OSU loses to UM
ND beats USC
Quinn Wins.

OSU Wins regardless of Smith's play and the outcome of the ND/USC game, Smith will win the Heisman.

The skunkbears must beat the Buckeyes for Quinn to have a chance.

oversimplified, but eerily accurate.

Oh, can you imagine? Honestly, it would make up for losing to scUM and not getting a shot at the title if Quinn takes that stupid trophy home. Just to hear all of the bitching about how he has an easy schedule and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

I've gotta go with Jersey on this. I would not enjoy Quinn winning as much as I'd enjoy all of the morons with a pen, internet access, telephones or press pass writing articles, posting messages on boards, calling sports talk radio stations and hacks putting their crap in my Sunday paper showing just how much they hate Notre Dame.

Sometimes, I love my own bitter spitefulness.

"Jason Whitlock, your sh*tburger is ready. Jason Whitlock, order #10."

Next year, Notre Dame will probably have more offensive line talent than it does now.

This crop of freshmen is very very good. They will have their growing pained moments, but they will be quite stable.

It's not the OL I am worried about. It might take them a few games but they will be OK. the DL will be virtually non-existent!

You figure Laws is back and that's it.

All three LB would return, correct?

I would think on raw ability alone, Barksdale and or Blackwell would start along side Laws should they be Irish. If Laws leaves, both would. Who on the roster now could beat them out convincingly?

Brady Quinn is the guy holding this mess together. Without him, this football team is 3-4 right now. They don't beat GaTech, MSU and UCLA without him.
Boy Jigga, I hate to disagree with you and I really can't right now because I'm still working on it. But I'll drop a teaser...we could have (and should have) beaten UCLA by four touchdowns.

Upping this to point out that Robert Smith's #2 Heisman choice (Brady wasn't in his top 5, as mentioned earlier) ran for 30 yards tonight as his team got killed by an unranked opponent.
