if that's the case, then it seems like kind of a dumb reason to have a different jersey... there's got to be a better way to honor the armed forces, right? like singing along with their alma mater?

Well....no one knows it to be a done deal....it's just speculation from seeing Black Addidas jerseys with ND markings show up on ebay.
Frankly, I like my patch idea
(not that there's anything wrong with the alma mater move either....I was at the Navy game last year and was proud as hell when ND walked down to the Navy end)

I like black. I went to ebay to find pictures and they dont look terrible. If Charlie wants to do this as a way to honor or pay tribute to Army, that is fine by me.

Save the sacred green jersey for a secred game like USC or a national championship. North carolina? no! if charlie didnt wear them against PSU or UM he wont wear them against NC

so many of you failed to see the humor in this thread.... I'm dissapointed...
makes sense when you put it this way. but we'll have to wait and see i guess....
If black jerseys are worn i would like to see them comparable to the 2003(?) away jerseys that had the gold stripe down the side. But instead of gold it would be green. The jerseys would be black/green/white and wouln't resemble purdue in anyway.
