I don't want to try to speak for others here, but I think the general consensus is that we all would like to see ND remain independent, right up until it would exclude us from consideration for the National Championship. At that point, I think most of us would understand the administration deciding to join a conference.

Big 10 or none..

I would hate to be ACC..

The Big 10 would be a terrible choice. Especially for football. It would marginalize us even more into being a MidWestern university.

If winning was- and always is- the same, "the future" won't pass us by if we win the way we've always won. All that will pass us by will be the excuses, and the needs of the Paris Hilton crowd amongst us.
