I think there is a higher chance of Jimmy leaving than Golden. I would love for both to come back but as long as one decides to stay we should be ok.

Its way too early to be worrying about anyone leaving and going pro. Except for Charlie and the staff IMO. Thats a part of their job so leave it to them.

Russel had limitless potential. he had great size and great arm strength. Colt McCoy does not have a strong arm, is undersized, and doesnt play in a pro style offense. He, like Tebow, will be drafted but not in the 1st round. Botheare projects in the NFL

Thank you..I agree completely everything I was trying to say. Russell did have limitless potential I could not understand the draft pick then and still can't now. But again its Al Davis...I do agree with you I think you might be right about Clausen better shot of leaving over Golden. I previously stated I thought Golden was going to bolt, but I didn't take a couple factors into mind. Now I think he will be on board for another season with the Irish.

Dont get me wrong, i like McCoy. He is a good kid and has the intangibles to make it, but he is a project in the NFL which equals 3rd or 4th rounder

I don't like McCoy at all..I think he supremely overrated and can't stand when he gets all the praise. I think he is a 3rd or 4th round player as well. Me wouldn't take him until somewhere around the 5th round. Could be a good backup QB in the NFL. For a couple of reasons if you really think about back up QB's usually they are more mobile then the starter. Ryan Fitzpatrick in Buffalo. Sometimes its a change of pace and a good thing, if injuries occur. Thats all I predict for him. If I'm wrong, which I highly doubt then I will admit it. Just don't see any greatness, not even starting QB capabilities.

Both guys will stays. Darius Wlaker will serve as an example of thinking too highly of yourself.

Was Walker struggling in school? I thought that was the reason that he left.

Honestly, I don't think anybody but the seniors enter the draft this year.

One thing we forget about ND is that we aren't the state schools who let just anybody with some athletic ability come and play. NDs athletes really have to work hard on and off the field to become more complete people. And, ND graduates more athletes than any other school in the country.

This whole team has the goal of winning a NC. And I see them all coming back next year to do it. JC mentioned that CW will not lose his job on his watch, and I think he will keep that promise and stay another year.

The players are dedicated to more than just themselves. They are dedicated to ND and want to leave ND in the best possible position.

Just because someone is good and has cocky attitude and soem swagger doesn't pin point him to the NFL as a junior.

We're all going to be pleasantly surprised to see so few enter the draft this year.

Whatever Clausen does Tate will do as well. My guess is that both of them are gone. Clausen will be the number one draft pick and Tate is looking like a first rounder at this point.

The only way Clausen goes is if Charlie says its time to go. It wont be like 'poodle' trying to hold Sanchez back for his selfish purposes. I would bet both Tate and Clausen stay, agreeing with the comment from above that the Notre Dame football player is different. I dont think going pro is the only reason they are at Notre Dame.

is this true

is this true

If they win out they'll be in a BCS game. Not sure I want it but the $$$$ wont be passed up. I'd like to see the Cotton Bowl or Gator Bowl as prep for next year. The one game as I stated earlier this year I WOULD want is LSU in the Sugar Bowl. Like to play them with the match we have this year vs the mismatch of 3 years ago. Right in their backyard. ( Sorry guys I posted this to the wrong thread.)

Weis talks to GMs about his players' draft stocks to tell them where they are projected to go. I'm sure Bill Polian is one. I'll talk to him at the game today and tell him to say Clausen is going to be a 7th rounder. It'll all be good.

If our guys come back, we will dominate the draft. Tate, Floyd, and Clausen will all be top 10/15 guys.

I think everyone isn't understanding that this is the last year of the NFL not having a cap on rookie draft picks, everyone that can go pro will go pro

you are assuming that the year after there will be cb agreement in place. I don't believe that will be worked out for many years. There will be at least 3 years of no cap / lockout NFL>

Just saw Mel Kiper's Top 5 Junior Receivers List. He didn't even have Tate on there, so maybe he is lower on the draft projections than we think.

He lacks prototypical size, but he is a special athlete. A great college receiver but I don't know where he would project draft wise, this year or next.

Look at how Rocket's pro career turned out. Back in that era there were Rocket commercials and Bo Knows commercials. That was it.

Golden needs the extra year of hype to help his draft status. He'll split Heisman love with Jimmy if he ever returns a punt.

Amazing play in practice video.

Golden catches a pass, holds onto it with one hand, turns a cone, and catches another throw one-handed.
