Think I may throw some money down on the Irish. Has anyone been out there recently? Anything stick out in your mind that is a must-do? I haven't been for two years now.

You must check out the Ferrari dealership inside the Wynn. It is just amazing, if you like expensive cars and dreaming. The MGM got a new sportsbook about a year ago which is pretty nice. Can't think of anything else off the tip of my head.

The Crazy Horse II seemed top keep my attention for quite a while.

If you get a chance, head out to Balley's for a show. Saw George Carlin there. Only night that I didn't have some cocktails, but laughed the entire time.

I used to live in Las Vegas. Moved in the early 90s and have visited a handful of times since.

Man I am glad that I do not live there anymore. I was borne and raised there. The heat in the summers is unbearable. 110 was the last I checked
My brother who lives in Vegas called me yesterday and said ND is the favorite right now in the sportsbooks for the national championship.

lived there when I was little ('76-'84), went to school across the street from UNLV and saw the Thomas&Mack Center being built and was 4 blocks from the Strip. If you didnt' see the classic cars at the Imperial Palace when you lived there, you should.

Vegas has gone pretty much upscale in everything, which is unfortunate. However, I believe that Mandalay Bay has a cool zoo or gardens or something like that.

When we lived there, my mother used to work at Binions. The FSE is cool, but I think it hurt what WAS Vegas. Driving through downtown WAS Vegas.

Freemont is definately a must do in Vegas. Probably the most fun that the missus and I had out there. As long as you stay under the roofed in area that is, because outside of there...things get a little dangerous. :violent: :starwars:

I'm going there at the end of July. i'm only going to escort my mother. I'm not really looking forward to LV in July. I don't really gamble and I know it's gonna be HOT. So I guess I'll have a couple hours early in the a.m. to sit by the pool, then it's watching cable most of the day. Although, I would like to get out to see Hoover dam. Any suggestions on that?

Ok, I'm back from Vegas now. WoW, what a PARTY!!! My brother -n- law has a business supplying I don't really now what to resturants. He just got the HOA (Hooters of America) account. So this week is Hooters annual convention. I went to a VIP party there and it was killer. It was at the Hooters Casino/Hotel and they closed the pool and part of the casino for it. It was open bar with sushi, prime rib, steak, and Alaskan king crab flown in special just for this party. Oh, did I foget the women? Yes, all the beauty contest winners from the Hooters of every state in the Union was there. About 100 of them all at the party.

Also, "The Best Damn Sports Show" from FOX Sports did their show there on Tues night during the bathing suit contest. I met Lebron James there. The hooters girls were working those NBA guys hard. Don't forget Kobe James!!!! I don't think I've partied like this since I was in college. Oh yea, I went to the hoover dam.
